Audible's Sports Bar and Gaming — Restaurant in Nevada

This is a neighborhood place, with a neighborhood vibe. Sports bar indeed -- lots of TVs, lots of noise, lots of cheering. As an out-of-towner, I was a little intimidated, but in the end, I'm happy I gave it a try.

Because the food is astonishingly good! Much better than you'd expect from either the look of the place or the location. As I bit down on my first French fry, I almost did a double-take. It was one of the best I've ever had, spiral cut, battered, and fried twice. My fish tacos came with grilled fish, not fried. They were stuffed full. And the "bang bang sauce" on the side really topped them off.

Drinks were generally good but uneven. I had a top-notch Manhattan, a very good lemon drop martini, and a just okay margarita.

I have to say the service left a lot to be desired. It was hard to get my server's attention. He never gave me the wifi password that I asked for. When he brought my food, I tried to order another drink; he refused to take my order because he was too busy. (He did come around and take it a few minutes later.)

Even so, I gave him a nearly 50% tip. Why? He was the only server in the place, the whole time -- and he was tending bar, too! The poor guy was run off his feet. Considering the impossible job he had to do, I think he was fantastic.

Note to owner(s)/manager(s): Please don't leave any server on his or her own again! It's not fair, and it will drive away...

While visiting Tahoe my wife and I happened upon this place. How lucky are we ?! The food was amazing !!! Not your average bar food . Everything was cooked and presented with care. The place itself is a gem ,it felt like we were back in our own neighborhood spot. Sports on every TV .Customers and staff were wonderful. You could tell this place is the local favorite. Not touristy at all .Just great people serving up great food and drinks . The bartender even offered to put the Minnesota Vikings game on for us the next morning. Give this place a try , you won’t regret it. Not to mention they have Golden Tee . Thanks again for your hospitality and treating us like regulars. Hope...

Audibles serves amazing food. Audibles is a comfortable place to be. Audibles has a lot of TVs to watch sports. Audibles has a shuffleboard table. The food is the key. It isn't regular barfood. I have had about 5 things off the menu. The food is inventive. It is fresh and flavorful. It feels like they are trying to impress you with the food and they succeed. It is as if, the person back in the unseen area, the kitchen...the magic kitchen,, knows that they are good at this, and they just keep doing it.
