Several months ago, we moved into the area and had heard nothing but good reviews about Daniel's at Bikini Bay Bar. We've looked forward to trying it but unfortunately were disappointed by the experience.
The bartender didn't make the drinks correctly - a simple scotch & soda and dirty martini. The drinks were watery, and we would have switched to beer but never got the chance.
My wife ordered the prime rib, and I ordered a turkey wrap. Unfortunately, the salad that went with the prime rib never arrived. My turkey wrap wasn't edible for two reasons - the tortilla was supposed to be warm. The tortilla had been warmed, but the service was so slow that when it arrived, it was cold, and the tortilla was hard. I took one bite and discovered it had bacon in it. I specifically ordered that item because it wasn't supposed to have bacon in it. The side of sweet potato fries was bland (no seasoning) and was too oily.
My wife's prime rib was mediocre. If this is supposed to be the best prime rib in Laughlin, I can't imagine how bad the others may be. She said the beef had little taste, the vegetables were too salty and also oily. She didn't finish it and didn't take home the leftovers.
We were there for about an hour, and the waitress only came over one time, after our food arrived, to ask how everything was. We weren't charged for my meal to their credit, and they took $2.00 off of the prime rib for the salad they forgot.
I mentioned at the beginning of the review that we never had a chance to order more drinks. Our waitress didn't bring our food out. Someone else did. Had she brought out our food or paid attention to us before our meals arrived, she would have seen two empty glasses. For the time we were there, we would have ordered two more drinks each. The bar wasn't busy, but our waitress was spending more time socializing with guys at the bar than doing her job.
A meal has to be bad for me to send it back because it's not something I do, and the service has to be bad for me not to tip the waitress. Bad food is one thing, the server doesn't control that, but lousy service is all on the server.

Read moreMy brother and I are locals and have been fairly regular customers for the past few years. In late June/early July, my brother was entered into the "4 of a Kind" promotional drawing. His ticket was drawn as a $75 "free play" winner. We are familiar that it does take a week or so to be applied to the Players Card. About a week or so ago, we had gone in. The "free play" wasn't on the card. Jess ( our fav!!!) had left a note to inform the owners. We went yesterday, and again, no "free play". The owners were called and the situation was explained to them by Kylie. She then relayed to us that the paperwork was just submitted and the amount should appear "tomorrow or the next day "??? We were only there for 15 minutes and left. To clarify, for us, this is NOT a money issue whatsoever. If a promotion is offered and qualifications are met, it should be honored within reason of time promised. Not three months later. Historically, we've always ordered food, gambled generously as well as tipped more than generously. We used to rave, recommend and entertain several neighbors, friends and family here because we enjoyed it. Locals and frequent patrons are certainly key to a successful business, especially in this area. Read moreBeen here a few times. My first experience was good. Things have gone downhill since however I went in a second time and the food left a lot to be desired. The burger dripped with grease and I had ketchup squirt all over the front of my shirt after opening the bottle. Then I went to use the restroom and discovered the bathroom door doesn’t lock. The service was okay during these visits.
The third time I went in the service was awful. I sat on the gaming side of the bar and it took the bartender 20 minutes to acknowledge me. Then after getting my drink she checked on me one more time. I went back in today and had a couple of beers. The service was great. The bartender was the best yet. I did notice though that patrons asked for drinks and the bartender seemed to be out of everything.
Then due to my past experience with the bathroom I made sure to go elsewhere before I went. It was a good thing because one of the other patrons walked int the bathroom and someone had taken a dump on the floor. I’m guessing it was probably there from the evening before as the day bartender had no idea it was there. Not sure how you let something like that go over night.
