Chuckwagon Restaurant — Restaurant in Nevada

We saw good reviews online about the burgers here and thought we'd give the place a try. We only made it as far as the hostess before we changed our minds. The hostess was incredibly rude. It was the holiday season, they seemed to be short handed and had a lot going on and our group was a little bigger, about 6 people. So we can understand that there was stressing going on, but the interaction immediately started with rudeness. She walked over and huffed at us in a rude tone and no other greeting (not a hello or how many in your party) that we'd be "waiting 40 minutes if you wanna eat here with that many people" one person in the party asked if we split tables if maybe it'd go faster or be easier and she replied in a snarky tone "it don't matter you're gonna wait 40 minutes if you wanna wait you can or not whatever." At first we decided to wait and she rolled her eyes handing us the buzzer for our table. We stood there (no place to sit and wait) and decided to leave for something else. The restaurant seating for eating was very open to the smoke stenched casino anyway and it just wasn't a comfortable place to be. We found a great restaurant down the road in another casino that was just as short staffed but very friendly and whose restaurant was more shielded from the rest of the casino and you could smell the food instead of cigarettes. Maybe it was just a bad night, sure would have liked to try...

✅Must Go👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Best $32 ive ever spent!! My momma and i came to try the prime rib!! We each got a petite PR cooked MR, it was PERFECT! I don’t think I’ve ever been to a place where they can get that right!! (Pro tip- ask for it Blackened) From the the flavors, to the texture and size, it did not disappoint! I savored every last bite!! I didn’t even need the horseradish (creamy or raw)... it was THAT GOOD!! It came with 2 sides and a salad. ($2 off if you go on Thursdays) Y’all, these green beans had me feeling like i was in my grandpas kitchen!! Melt in your mouth and FRESH! The baked potato was pretty average. Butter, sour cream, and chives. The Caesar salad was a little heavy on the dressing... but it’s a good thing i love extra dressing (i would get it on the side next time) i wish they had homemade croutons tho. I hear that Anita Chakeeta Bonita is quite the hoot... we will be back to meet Joshua’s momma in the morning and try their breakfast and supposedly amazing Bloody Mary’s!! Stay...

I often base my decisions to try a new restaurant based on reviews hoping to find that the customer service and food is top notch. I will also often overlook negative feedback if it tends to be leaning on one individual thing, such as a hostess or a specific item. In this case, I had intended on trying the Chuck wagon based on the reviews on food and servers and overlooking the negative comments on the front end Help. However, when reaching out to find out if I needed reservations, if there was a bar etc. The lack of enthusiasm, lack of customer service and positive vibe I got from the woman who answer the phone steered me back to the negative feedback. So unfortunately for the chuckwagon I've decided to take my business this trip to someone else based on that alone. Hopefully next time I come and make a phone call it works out better.

For those who decide to steer someone else the Brew Brothers at the Tropicana was not too shabby. Great customer service and good food. Good luck,...
