So I just went to cuginos which I've been going to since I was in high-school I know the former owners personally and I still love cuginos cause I know who built it....now there are new owners and boy this guy holds true to his nature I walked in to get my pick up order and saw the total was 85.95 I proceeded to tell girl at counter who was great by the way I ordered from Google maps and on the menu there is a special listed large cheese and bucket of wing 27.99 to which she looked up and proceeded to tell new owner he responded with I dont know that menu how old is it and he says i cant sell that at that price he said i just bought this place a month ago so i dont know what that is with an aggressive tone and body language.....now at this point its my friends old place and I didn't wanna make it a big deal so I said hey take off the wings and ill just pay for pizza, sandwiches, and canollis I added I did say in my opinion you should honor the price on menu but no worries cause that's how I felt dont mean I was gonna get my way he responds with your crazy if you think I should honor that and pulls the food back obviously offended by my opinion you dont have to take anything and then give me a one star review I said sir for the first time I know who you bought this place from personally and would never do that to him to which he kept his attitude up with me while I was trying to descalate the situation get my food and leave...I said calm down I'm not trying to say anything bad his response was But you did... At that point, I responded with Yeah I did say that which was my opinion At this point he looked at the cashier said, " void that " threw my order, and said How about that Now you get nothing! Lmao! To which I responded Now you earned your review! I'll give him points for maintaining his unprofessional attitude through the whole thing even stepped it up at the end! Any way I can just go to fratellies and get great service and in my opinion, if you were a fan of cuginos I saw old employees there and they deserve praise cause they were awesome and I feel very sorry for them for going from old awesome management to that! Shoot they gotta work for him! So go see them while the old peeps are still there I suggest delivery so you don't run into King Kong and have him ruin...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSaw this place reviewed by Dave Portnoy and had to try it. We got a chicken parm sandwich and a 10ā cheese pie. The sandwich was good but the sauce was very thin and tasteless. Cheers was good but I would have liked more. Unlike other places, they cut their chicken cutlet into thin strips. Easier to eat maybe but, now what we were expecting. The pizza was a pretty good NY style pizza. Cheese & sauce had a lot of flavor but I still had to add black pepper, oregano, and shake on some parm to bring it to life. The one thing we didnāt love was the crust, it was far more ācrackerā crust than a traditional NY pie. We liked some chew to the crust even if it makes it a little droopy. So, to our taste, it was just okay. Some more significant negative things. Kind of in a sketchy neighborhood but, we didnāt feel unsafe. they were mopping the floor while we were eating and it smelled pretty bad. They had a portable fan to help the floor drive quickly but, it just made the whole experience much less pleasant for every customer. It could have waited until after closing at 7pm (we were there around 4:30pm). So, good food, not quite in our āhappy zoneā but you might really like it. Some cool stuff in their market area to buy - worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn a town that has a lack of good Italian delis, it was great to find a fantastic one! Exactly what you look for in a little Italian deli. Boars head meats and cheese. A nice menu lots of selections. We ordered all of ours to-go for a nice Sunday at home. We got large Arancini, reheated at home and they were perfect, with great marinara. House Stromboli was sooooo good, I mean a must get. A mortadella sandwich with fresh mozzarella, it was so good and huge! The Italian wedding soup was so tasty and the broth was definitely homemade! Stuffed peppers excellent, and another dont miss out on was the pint of house made bolognese it was so good you could drink it! Italian cookies my mom was so happy to sesame cookies in the assortment. We also got real NY beef Patty's! Basically go there and go there again and again... and eat all the things! Already can't wait to go back and try their pastas! Last but not least the gentlemen behind the counters, hardworking friendly and made us feel like we were in their home kitchen having snacks. This is a must try, if you are missing a real Italian deli!! Hoping they will consider opening one in...
