I love Patty's tamales, but the service is horrible. The person at Maryland Pkwy. doesn't speak English, and I dont speak Spanish I ordered 8 red chicken tamales and 8 cheese. I was taking them to a friend who just out of the hospital, well the next day I found out that she gave me 8 green HOT tamales, that my 80 year old friend could NOT eat. I should have been more observant. They charged my credit card TWICE, but did do a credit. Still the HOT tamales were a total waste. Read moreQuick to become my favorite tamale spot. They keep the menu simple and the price point is great. The tamales taste fresh and they have a good ratio of masa to meat. I enjoy spicy food and like that the spicy tamales are actually on the spicy side. Inside the restaurant, the dining area is cleared of tables so this not a sit down restaurant, its take away orders only. I don't mind this, as the staff here is very friendly and do their best to make your orders quick so you're not standing around...
Read moreI had my doubts when I saw it from the inside and more from the outside. But let me say that this is a hidden Paradise. I got a rajas tamale. Which is a Chile Serrano pepper with cheese inside of it. Let me just say that the tamale was way worth the price! One of the most authentic tamales I've ever had, considering I was born in Mexico! I wish there menu had more items like champorado. But with such good tamales I will most definitely be coming back...
