If I could give this place zero stars, I would! Don’t ever go here for a party! The manager and employees practice shady business. We booked this place for a birthday party in the reception room. The deal was to include balloons, decor, table settings, food and drink. We arrived at the time we scheduled the party for and there were no balloons or decor, only tablecloths. The food was not prepared and ready. While guests were arriving, the employees were setting up and putting the food and drink out. They made the guests go out to the restaurant side if they wanted soda. We had to work the music ourselves and constantly ask for things needed. They never checked on us to see if we needed anything. Nothing was replenished. We had to ask for water, etc. We didn’t even have a trash can. It was embarrassing. And when we went to pay, they charged us for 40 people when there were 32. They promised to provide a discount for children, but then insisted they were full price even through we had the paperwork that stated otherwise. They were never apologetic, but defensive when we called them out on it. They even tried to say that they couldn’t help because they were busy on the restaurant side. If they booked out party, you would think they would make sure they secure staff. Spend your...
Read moreWe went to D'Pinoy Joint on a Saturday morning. It was relatively busy. After a chat with the owner she had said that business is doing well and they are looking for a bigger space. It is a restaurant vs a buffet which I'm so happy to see. I'm not a big fan of the buffet style Filipino restaurants. Anyhow we ordered a lot! I ordered the Longsilog which was more of an individual plate with eggs and rice. But everything else was family style. The rest of our order consisted of the following: Beef w/ Bitter Melon, Filipino Fried Chicken, Pansit, Ukoy, & Halo Halo. Everything was delicious, I really can't say one negative thing about the food. The highlight was the Halo Halo. It's a must have. According to the waitress the ingredients of the Halo Halo are all home made and not from cans. The food came out fast the the staff was very hospitable. I'd say the only thing that was lacking was the attention to the table. After we got all our food we didn't get a refill on our waters and it was a little hard to get the attention from the staff to move on to next steps (ie: desert, check). However the food and ambiance overshadowed any lack of attention we had! I'd give this a 4.5 of 5. But in this case...

Now yes I eat alot of Filipino food. So I have my particular favs. Something about starting your day with Longsilog is my kind of happiness.
Upon entering it was a bit odd. There was a line for both take out and dine in. However the server/host didn't separate the two. So we all just waited. Once it became our turn was ushered to sit at a booth. Menus were given.
Opted for the Longsilog, Fried Rice, Extra Longanisa, Calamansi & Mango juice. Now if you look at the picture you will see what 6 extra Longanisa looked like. I was highly confused. Now you may be wondering why did you ask for 6. Well I asked for extra Longanisa in the fried rice to substitute the no shrimp. The picture speaks for itself.
Interior is quite large. There are several table and booth arrangements. This restaurant can easily accommodate large parties. Music was playing in the background.
Would recommend- pricing was typical for this side of town. I think I just came in on the wrong day and def wrong time. The customer service...
