Restaurant #6054 Order #2825 Cashier: #266 GILBERTO Check Reciept: #2825 Incident Time: May 30, 2018 @ 4:20PM
Worst experience I've ever had at a fast food restaurant! I pull up to the drive thru and I'm met with the most mellow toned 'hello' I thought the person about to take my order was high as a kite. Perhaps they were, considering they left the mic on when I told them 'one moment' as me and my boyfriend decided on what we wanted to get. Note we didn't just order one thing; we ordered a lot of food. So was already side eyeing this initial investment but carried on assuming this person was just exhausted and was having a bad day. I pull around to the cashier, he depressingly tells me the total and I hand him my card. As I wait patiently for my card back and order, I can see directly in front of me in a backroom with a computer monitor two women looking at it, laughing, then looking over at me, then laughing again, all speaking in Spanish. As I wait, two more women approach and it continues; at this point I'm thinking to myself, "Is something on my face?" because there is no language barrier in the world that could give someone doubts when it comes to being the center of amusement and apparent passive aggression; Strike Two. Then the cashier who had taken my order, didn't even look me in the face when he handed me my order, like I was some begging for food. Lets get this straight, I didn't NEED to come here, no one does. So why was I treated as if my life depended on the need for this cheap, greasy food to be treated in such an manner? This isn't some five star, luxury restaurant but every paying customer deserves to be treated at least with some decency and not left feeling like the cook might have left a surprise in my food for reasons unknown. I'd like to point out that the entire staff was Hispanic and I am of mixed African decent while my boyfriend is of Asian Korean decent and temporarily disabled (in a wheelchair). To be honest, this was one of those instances that we get met with tense energy in the air that people who treat us like that don't want kind hearted people like us around; not even to eat food.
In the end, we decided we weren't going to sink our mouths into that kind of bad juju and instead turn this bad experience into someone's blessing. On the drive home there was a homeless man playing his guitar in the road at a stop light and decided to donate the food to him, which completely made his day. However, we shouldn't have even been in a position like that in the first place and then go somewhere else to get our dinner.
I truly hope whoever is in charge of this store location reviews this complaint and takes it upon themselves to re-educate your staff on how to treat paying customers with excellent customer service; Being a customer service and salesperson professional for over 15years, I know that the behavior I had experienced today was not up to El Pollo Loco customer care standards. I do not want anyone like me or my boyfriend to ever come here and feel as threatened and...
Read moreWe visit around twice a week and have had good experiences in this past, but I didnt like the experience we received from this location. The shift leader lady (Carey Shaffer?) was really rude and unpleasant. As we visit here and lot, we collect a lot of points via the loyalty scheme via the mobile app, so we decided to cash in some of our rewards. I wanted to get a taco because I had already eaten but my friends came here and I wanrted to get something small to socialize with them. I asked for a taco and she said "A taco, is that all you're having?", I said yes, and she had this horrible expression like I was trying to get something free out of them. She then continued: "A free taco, that is all?".... She clearly tried to make it a point that I only came here for a free taco, but she was loud about it, rolled her eyes and was really demeaning. It was a disgusting attitude. What do you do when the Shift Leader behaves this way? talk to the chicken chef? ridiculous! I wont be back! I used to come here twice a week, may not be much, but it was enough. My friends and I will boycott this place until something is done about the snotty disgusting attitudes of this El...
Read moreI placed a mobile order pick up and of course they mess up my order. I go to pick up on my lunch and because it’s a mobile order, the bag is sealed and I have to rush back for work. First of all, I shouldn’t have to check my bag to make sure everything I ordered was in there. I get to work and sure enough, my side salad is missing. SO FRUSTRATING. To top it off, they had a sign on the door that said the lobby was closed and only open for mobile orders pick up so I spent 5 min (a long time when you only have 30 min to rush back to work) waiting and knocking and no one comes to answer it. This isn’t the first time they do this either (I understand there’s a shortage of employees but I could see they had at least 6 ppl working in the kitchen…so no excuse) So I have to go and wait in the drive thru line. I tried calling the restaurant and no one answers. Tried doing the online “contact us” and I haven’t received any communication. Such a bummer because this location is giving pollo...
