Happy Tiers Bakery in North Lake Tahoe has potential as a work spot, but my experience fell flat. Location and Ambiance: Tucked away in a strip mall with limited parking, Happy Tiers offers indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is more of a bar-style setup for solo patrons, while the indoor space is much larger. It was completely empty during my visit. Food Selection: They boast a variety of baked goods, including cookies, scones, cakes, croissants, and cupcakes. However, I didn't try any on this visit. The Chai Latte Letdown: This review focuses solely on the chai latte, which was the only beverage I ordered. Unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. It tasted like straight-up syrup water with no hint of chai spices or milk. This, coupled with a couple of other lackluster chai experiences at Tahoe coffee shops, leads me to believe the chai scene in the area needs some work. Service: On the bright side, service was fast due to the lack of customers. Overall: If you're looking for a place to work and grab a pastry, Happy Tiers might be okay. However, skip the chai latte and manage your expectations. There are likely better options for a flavorful chai experience elsewhere in North Lake Tahoe.

My wife and I contacted Happy Tiers Bakery about a month before our wedding in Kirkwood Tahoe area and were greeted by the owners, Andrea and her husband, who were both very friendly and cheery people to chat on the phone with! They were able to cater our wedding with a wide assortment of desserts that were aesthetically amazing and even better tasting! Also as my wife and I are not the biggest cake fans, Andrea, made us a beautiful cookie cake that was simply decorated and with our favorite toppings, white chocolate and macadamia nuts. The ease, finesse, and detail-orientedness was so spot-on and Andrea took care of all the logistics with delivery and storage on our wedding day so we didn’t have to stress or worry. It was an amazing day and everyone loved the lovely and tasty sweet treats to end the night, especially the little ones that had chocolate and whipped cream on them while dancing the night away! Thank you so much Happy Tiers Bakery for the excellent service, great communication, and the tasty desserts that made the night spectacular! We promise to make it to your bakery in person sometime on our next Tahoe/Truckee adventure!

The staff here is wonderful! So friendly and polite, seem to be legitimately happy at work, and that says a lot.

I want to love this place so much because as far as I know, it's really the only bakery in Incline. However, after three visits the food just keeps coming up short.

I am a very simple creature when it comes to breakfast. I like sausage, egg, and American cheese on a hard roll or croissant. I like the egg fried, a little runny, and the roll to be buttered. I've ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant each visit, because a hard roll is not an option. I requested a fried egg, but they are unable to accommodate, so I'm assuming it's a scrambled egg mix and a microwave, or maybe a premade scrambled egg patty? How hard is it to fry an egg? The cheese has never been melted and the sausage has always been cold. It seems like if it was hot it would be good. One of the times they only had a bagel available, but didn't let me know until I'd already ordered and been waiting for the food for 10 minutes, so it was a little too late to make a change. Bagel is pretty generic and I wouldn't recommend it. This is also the most expensive breakfast sandwich I've ever ordered anywhere, by a long shot, so it's extra disappointing.

I've also had the chocolate croissant and the tiramisu. The croissant was awful, had to throw it away. Tastes like the chocolate croissants they sell at 7-11, super dense, not light and flaky, and I may be wrong, but I can't imagine it was baked on-site. Tiramisu was barely passable. Flavor was okay, but too much powder on top and the lady fingers tasted soggy and stale at the same time, which I didn't know was possible. Also had to throw it away. It was the second to last piece in the tray, so maybe it was just old?

Atmosphere is nice, and again, the staff has been great, so I will continue to try other things. Everything looks good behind the glass, but if you're a bakery and can't turn out a solid croissant, it doesn't inspire much confidence in the rest of the menu.

For anyone looking for an excellent tiramisu I highly recommend Pianetta in Truckee, or not quite as good but still very good, Lanza's in Kings Beach. For a solid croissant checkout the Tahoe Haus on the West shore. For an acceptable breakfast sandwich on an English muffin, and still no option for a fried egg, Inclined Burger...

This place is closed. I made an appointment with them over the phone a week ago to come in for a tasting to order a wedding cake. The woman on the phone was very friendly so I was confident this would be a pleasant experience. After driving out from Sparks I pulled in to see a closed down and torn up section of the plaza where the bakery was supposed to be. The woman on the phone mentioned renovations, but never said anything about the shop being CLOSED DOWN. I was lied to, and for what point? Just say you're closed! There is nothing indicating this on their website either. Confused, I called to clarify a new address and was immediately sent to a voicemail. I asked the nice girl inside of the pizza shop next to where the bakery once was if she knew anything about a new location. She told me they closed shop two weeks ago and that the owner was running the business out of her house. I tried calling a second time. Straight to voicemail again. Nothing was specified over the phone that she was running this out of her home. I gave up and went to the beach. There are plenty of other bakeries in the area to throw our money at. Just wanted to give a heads up to the public before wasting their time on this place like I did. No follow up call either. Usually when a customer is late for an appointment somewhere, they call, never happened. Too bad as we were willing to spend a lot of money. On top of this I really don't see how you can run a professional bakery service from your private residence. I don't see how any of that can be licensed or legal. Or how you can manage to create these massive orders out of your own kitchen. I'm just glad I didn't place an online order. Just to have my wedding cake and other orders probably...

This bakery owner is rude, unhelpful, and unable to deliver a product. I called to place an order after going to the store front and learning that it is closed until further notice. The owner was very short and disrespectful when I was asking basic questions that are not answered on the business’ webpage. There was no other way for me to learn about the products offered, since the store is closed for the foreseeable future and certain pieces of crucial information are not offered online. I offered to text pictures that would give her an idea of what I was looking for, and she said that I should. A few minutes later, I texted her the images along with my order, and she did not respond. I texted again at the end of the day to try to learn if she would complete the order and, again, she did not respond. I called the next day and she did not pick up or respond to my voicemail, and she ignored my mom’s calls and texts as well. Perhaps she did not want to complete a relatively low-cost order of two dozen cupcakes, but if she is unwilling to work with customers (or even respond to them, just leaving them waiting and wondering and never getting back to them), she should alter her menu options. In the end, she could not complete the order, nor did she have the courtesy to inform me that she could not complete the order. I ended up choosing a more highly-rated nearby bakery where the employees are pleasant, helpful, and able to complete a...
