Mo' Bettahs is a unique culinary treasure founded in Bountiful, Utah, in 2008 by two brothers, Kimo and Kalani Mack. The restaurant is a testament to its unwavering commitment to transporting guests to the authentic Hawaiian island experience they cherished while growing up in O'ahu, Hawai'i. Mo' Bettahs has become a thriving Hawaiian plate lunch restaurant with over 50 locations.
The restaurant's partnership with Savory Restaurant Fund marked a pivotal moment for Mo' Bettahs, propelling the brand to new heights and allowing them to share the spirit of aloha with an ever-expanding audience. Their mission is clear - to serve up the plate lunch with an unwavering commitment to an authentic Hawaiian experience.
During my recent visit to Mo' Bettahs, I had the pleasure of indulging in their famous Classic Ekolu, a culinary masterpiece that encapsulates the restaurant's essence. The Original Ekolu is a symphony of flavors featuring teriyaki steak, teriyaki chicken, and kalua pig served on a bed of crisp cabbage, accompanied by three generous scoops of rice. A salad choice adds a refreshing touch, and the trio of sauce cups provides the perfect opportunity to customize each bite.
The teriyaki steak is perfectly cooked, and its tender, succulent taste captures the essence of Hawaiian grilling traditions. The teriyaki chicken is a savory delight that pays homage to the island's culinary heritage, and the kalua pig, slow-cooked to perfection, adds a smoky and savory depth that transports diners straight to the heart of a Hawaiian luau.
The bed of cabbage complements the protein trio, providing a crisp and refreshing contrast to the rich flavors. The three scoops of rice, perfectly cooked to flawlessness, serve as the perfect canvas for the culinary symphony unfolding on the plate.
Mo' Bettahs' commitment to authenticity is evident in every detail, from the homemade mac salad to the carefully selecting fresh and quality ingredients. The Classic Ekolu embodies the spirit of Hawai'i, offering a sensory journey beyond the palate.
In conclusion, Mo' Bettahs has not only succeeded in bringing the flavors of Hawai'i to the mainland but has elevated the plate lunch experience to an art form. With expansion plans on the horizon, I eagerly anticipate more communities being embraced by the warm aloha spirit of Mo' Bettahs. If you haven't embarked on this culinary journey yet, I highly recommend making Mo' Bettahs your next dining destination ā a voyage to the heart of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is our first time eating at Moā Bettahsā and they have exceeded our expectations. This is truly the best authentic Hawaiian restaurant in town and the food is so delicious and freshly made. The restaurant is nicely decorated in Hawaiian theme. The restaurant is very clean , relaxed atmosphere and very inviting. The restaurant has plenty of seating ,indoor and outdoor space, they also have a drive-thru which is very convenient. We have tried different plates on the menu, but our favorites are: Teriyaki chicken( so flavorful and it pairs perfectly with the teriyaki sauce, itās a MUST TRY) and Macaroni salad are the best that we have ever had ( a MUST TRY ) . Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection , seasoned right . I was very happy after trying the Macaroni salad/ definitely true homemade ( not the prepackaged box stuff) and you can taste the difference in every bite. This is the way it should be! The portions are big and you will eat everything, because the food is beyond yummy !!
The staff were super friendly and we have received great service. We have felt welcomed!!!
Overall: Healthy, clean and beyond delicious food. We highly recommend this Hawaiian place to anyone who likes island food. Itās like having the islands in your backyard. Highly , highly recommend this awesome fresh Hawaiian food!!! They definitely need to open more locations and bring this island delicious food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was a soft open. So all of the energy is available for the consumer. I will definitely be back in a few weeks or a few months to see if the same energy and customer service is available for me as a consumer. I will say I had to stand outside, and the weight was not that long. I made sure I was warm lol. I enjoyed the music. I was told about the free meal and free soda for the soft open. I did not care for the pork. It was a little salty for me, but the chicken was good. The rice and the macaroni salad was good. Iām excited to come back when the full mini was available to see if I like the tattoo chicken and the tempo shrimp. And for the first time I tried spam. Not my deal but the cookie was good.* My one critique is that I believe the people working behind the counter, and serving the food and cooking the food. You were hearing it. Only to reduce the likelihood of hair being in the food. There was a lot of moving around and as we become comfortable working front of house and back of house, we all all know things happen. And so I just think the clear pets would be best. Other than that it was a...
