I realize that there is not going to be the variety and selection of teriyaki we had in Seattle here in LV but can't we at least have ONE good one? Luckily for my kids and me, my wife is so addicted to it that we got burned out on it years ago. At our house, teriyaki was the food version of the bowling ball that Homer bought for Marge on the Simpsons. My wife would arrive at home and proclaim, "I picked up dinner so you don't have to cook!" That is not as exciting when it's like the sixth time it's happened in a month. Of course, if I cook German pork loin and red cabbage twice in a six month period, I've over done it and she's sick of it. But I digress...

Even with the overexposure, we all had our favorite teriyaki joints back home. I usually got noodles or soup but the overall offering was very good. Here, there are very few options. Teriyaki Madness is everywhere but to a person from WA, that tastes like the teriyaki you would buy in the frozen section of Winco back home and warm up in the microwave. Not too good. Teriyaki House looked promising. 4 & 1/2 stars with over a hundred reviews. Unfortunately, as I've experienced previously, if a group of locals don't really understand how something is supposed to taste, their review may not be helpful for someone who does.

The service was very friendly. We got takeout because of the quarantine but the restaurant looked clean and comfortable based on typical similar establishments in WA. The portions were a bit small compared to what we are used to. Most of our favorite places back home offered soup with your meal when you dine in but we didn't see that option there. Some offer a can of soda as well. The point is that you received more value for your money in a state that's known for being generally overpriced than you do here. I could have overlooked that if the portions weren't so small. The sauce was actually not bad but where they lost me completely was that they did not have a chicken breast option available. I don't like dark meat chicken and I know many other people who don't as well. My wife prefers chicken breast but she'll tolerate dark meat if she has to. At the end of the day, I think she would eat there again out of desperation but I don't think anyone else in my family would.

If you are a local and haven't experienced Seattle teriyaki, you might be perfectly fine with this. If you're from Seattle, let me save you the frustration. For us, the hunt...

So I'll start by saying I was having a really terrible day. Needed some food; this was close to my work. Came in and was immediately greeted, but as I was paying for my food this man walks up a foot next to me while I'm still doing my transaction to pick up his order. Extremely rude and very off putting. (Same guy that almost backed into my car). Made my day even worse. Moving onto the food. I received my food in a timely fashion and this order had to have weighed at least 5 pounds. I ordered a #2 (Chicken katsu meal) and it came with a salad, rice, the chicken and I also ordered a side of kimchi to test it out. Growing up in a Korean household and being around other Koreans all my life, I've had a lot of good kimchi and a lot of bad kimchi. But this kimchi was SO FREAKING GOOD and well made, it immediately made me miss my mom. It was fresh, the flavor was perfect and the spice was on point. The chicken was so well made (not burnt, not salty, flavorful) and I got two fat pieces on top of my mountain of rice. The sauce for the katsu was perfect as well. (Not too thick or sweet) AND IT WAS ALL $11!!! It could have easily sold as a $20 meal based on how much food there was. I can honestly say this entire meal made me forget my extremely foul mood. Props to whoever owns this establishment. You guys...

Absolutely delicious! 😋 Everything is made fresh and cooked to order. Quick service for fresh made food. About 8-10 minutes from time of order to when your food is ready. You can or to go or to dine in. They do accept call-ahead orders. They offer pork, beef, salmon and chicken options, along with other non-meat options. The salads on the side are fresh and very good. My favorite is #9 Pork Teriyaki, white rice, coleslaw salad, and lettuce salad. I definitely recommend this restaurant / quick bite location. There is also typically plenty of parking as well.

This was the smallest portion of beef I have gotten from a restaurant in Las Vegas. Now if that was the only problem I probably wouldn't have left a review because I would've assumed they are going for the healthy portion or whatever. The food tasted alright. The problem is that on top of my small portion, it had an extreme amount of inedible gristle/fat. See for yourself picture attatched
