This was my first time at this particular buffet, but we all know the drill with Asian buffets. My expectations weren't very high. Our table had three adults and a toddler. I grabbed finger foods for the toddler; the other two adults got an assortment including crawfish and sushi. The crawfish was so overcooked it was mush on the inside. The "tuna" sashimi was NOT tuna, and almost made my partner vomit; it had gone bad (probably sat out for way too long). I got a plate of finger foods for myself so I could tend to the toddler...the Mac n cheese bites were old and dried out, the corn nuggets were soggy with grease and cold, the orange chicken nuggets while crispy on the outside were doughy inside and the chicken was dry. I managed to eat a single potsticker, but could tell it was old. I was too afraid to try the crab rangoon (and it's my fave). We all collectively decided we were not going to stay, and we weren't going to pay because everything was inedible. I mean every single thing we had put on our plates. Our server got the manager, who argued with us about the food being old and spoiled. Then threatened to call the police if we refused to pay. That's fine, we can wait for the police. They sent a server out to get our license plate number. Police arrived; took our side of the story, we offered to pay for one adult since we did eat about a plates worth between all of us. We were told to leave the premises and never come back; that we can't even come into the parking lot. Mind you, this buffet is in a strip mall with several other shops and restaurants. I'm A OK fine with being banned from an Asian buffet...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWonderful place. The food was fresh and delicious. Surprisingly Huge variety. They have gloves at at the ends of the buffet bars beside the plates to put on do to Covid. I really appreciated that. They also have various sanitizers placed. They could use a few more bottles strategically placed, but Iām glad they had those out in general. The food was delicious. Not your āaverageā Chinese buffet food. We were all pleasantly surprised and happy we picked this Chinese food location. There is a lot of options around that area, but do yourself a favor and just drive five extra miles and go to this one! Well worth it. It is not far off the interstate though.
My husband loved the Honey croissants. We have never seen those or had them. Very unique to here. They also had frog legs, many shrimp dishes, many seafood dishes, build your own hibachi plate, & chicken dishes. The desert were surprisingly good also! Most Chinese buffet the deserts are bland, but they were very flavorful here and good. They also had about every condiment known to man. Probably too many, but it was nice. The Cajun feast was a nice surprise also, and delicious. Bourbon chicken was a big hit also.
The only negatives I have is there was only 1 beef dish that I saw. But with the beef shortages still kind of in effect, I can understand. Also their sushi was just OK. Wasnāt the best or worst I have had. All in all we were very happy with this choice. We were nervous about a buffet during Covid, but they were constantly cleaning and made us feel good about our choice and the food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to have dinner tonight and the food was mediocre. I had a refill of water and it tasted like bleach. I asked the man at the front counter if I could get a discount on my total since it was a shock and potential poison, and he laughed in my face and tried to explain that it was normal. The water even smelled like bleach so he got a chemical test strip and tested the water and tried to tell me that it was normal levels within my cup. The test strip showed the darkest level within the strip control reader and he dipped the strip in my cup for not even a millisecond second. I disagreed and explained to him that I use test strips similar to the one he used at my fast food job, so Iām familiar that youāre supposed to hold the strip in the solution for at least 10 seconds. He then tried to explain that I must have tampered with my water and that he would have to watch the cameras to make sure that didnāt happen and I was completely fine with that. He kept changing his statements, ultimately pointing the finger at me and even threatened to call the cops. Then decided to tell me that the cameras couldnāt āreach that farā when I was sitting in one of the first booths closest to the doors. When all I wanted was a simple āsorry, let me make this better for youā He was very unprofessional and disrespectful. I will be in contact with the health department. Very bad...
