Waffle House — Restaurant in Indiana

We made the mistake of eating here after a late night movie. There was our waitress, a cook, and 2 other men with another waitress as employees. The other waitress was vocally complaining about hours, not getting asked if people at this store location wanted to pick up. Instead, they bring people from other locations who don't do anything but stand around. The vibe was extremely negative. The mood of the employees was solomon except for the mouthy woman who talked loudly across the store as she went outside the front entrance to smoke.

Food quality was not good. My grits were just warm. Cheese grits are made with a slice of American cheese laid on top... gross! The hashbrown's were lightly brown on the exterior and all white mush in the center. I ordered sautéed onions with my hash browns and received a few scattered diced onions on top of my hasbrowns, which were not sautéed, but undercooked.

All in all, the negative atmosphere, attitudes, and poor quality of food, I now know why it's been years since I have eaten here! I left dissatisfied and felt sorry for the employees as their shift was miserable, having to listen to a mouthy negative coworker.

Walked in with 4 booths not clean with dirty dishes, 10 seats at counter with dirty dishes. Had to seat and wait for 10 minutes them to clean while staff joked and laugh not doing their job. Manager walked out a couple of times and didn't say any thing. We finally get a table clean off, than order food. Took for ever to get our drinks. Than our food that's another joke. Some food came out missing alot of stuff that she forgot to call out had to wait for that when I say some food came out meaning my husband sandwich my eggs and hash brown. Missing my grandson and my waffle his bacon and mine. No drink refill. I say something to the waitress that was a joke. Than manager comes out at this my husband is done with his meal and we haven't got ours. Wow they took 10 percent off. A BIG 3.10 OH WOW!!!! m and grandson took ours to go so we didn't get to eat. This place today was a joke..... I have been here alot of times before and never treated this way. Stay away to they...

We usually have a great experience, but today we weren’t greeted upon entry, and after we sat down we weren’t looked at or spoken to for 20 min and ended up just leaving, and even upon leaving not a word was said. There was a worker with long hair trying to explain a receipt issue to another girl worker with an eyebrow piercing and instead of listening to her, the girl with the eyebrow piercing kept interrupting her and LOUDLY and wrongly trying to correct her and embarrass her in front of everyone when she didn’t even hear the girl out, and eventually the girl solved it with another older woman and it wasn’t even the girl with the long hair that had messed anything up and eyebrow piercing was so quick to be condescending to her trying to correct her and “hon” her when she seemed to be only a few years younger. We felt awful for the girl and really annoyed at eyebrow piercing....
