Edited in response to SB's response: Diana and Margaret in the rental division are the Jekyll and Hyde of real estate - so pleasant at first, until you sign the lease, then they become uncooperative, rude, and condescending. I say that not to be hateful, but to provide a literary example that accurately describes the unacceptable behavior of these two agents. Trust me, if I wanted to be hateful, this review would have a different tone completely. Two examples: We paid a $600 pet deposit for two pets. Our dog caused $50 damage to a screen door. The $50 was taken out of our house deposit, not the pet deposit, which Schuler Bauer kept. In short, we paid $600 just so our pets could live there. Two months after we moved out, the landlord told me that he "couldn't get a straight answer from those people" about where the pet deposit was, so my "acquisition" that SB has kept the money stands. (Please proofread before posting.) You've had over fours years to give him the money, and last I heard, it's still in your pockets. Definitely not ethical. On the one year mark of us moving in, we were notified that Diana and Margaret would be doing a home inspection at a certain date and time. I told them we would both be at work, and I suggested alternate times that same day and other days and times that would be possible. They said no. I explained I would be teaching a college class at that time and it would inconvenience my students for me to cancel, and they said, "That's not our problem." Why be so inflexible unless you're just on some power trip? I will note that we were ideal tenants, paid on time, made hundreds of dollars of improvement to the property, and became good friends with the landlord. Yet these two treated us like we were bottom-feeding crackheads. Based on my two and a half decades of teaching business, strategic and organizational communication, my professional opinion is that the two women are horrible business people. On several occasions, I used their correspondence and phone calls as examples in class of what NOT to do in professional communication. I can't help but notice that the majority of one star ratings for Schuler Bauer relate to the rental division, and numerous people have complained about the way they were treated by this division of the company. I stand by...
Read moreI meant to post a review months ago but completely forgot. Amanda Braden and her son Tyler were absolutely the best to work with. I can't say enough good things about the both of them. Both of our parents passed within a month of each other, so getting their home sold was difficult for our family. Amanda and Tyler both were so caring and helpful through this process. They went above and beyond answering questions and getting the house sold quickly. I truly wouldn't ever use any other real estate agents. The professionalism, care, and dedication they showed went way beyond our expectations. We're so thankful we chose Amanda and Tyler during this difficult time for our family. Thank you...
