This was our second time at the onion after several years to try to give it another chance after our first experience. I’ll start with saying the staff seemed really kind - that wasn’t the issue at all. I don’t like cucumber so I chose a roll specifically that didn’t have them (or it wasn’t listed), and my fiancé has a food intolerance to bamboo shoots. He asked for his without bamboo shoots, and I didn’t see a need to ask for sushi without something that wasn’t listed. Almost every other sushi option except maybe three had cucumbers so it was pretty limited. I never complain about food or even mention it unless it’s just something that I don’t eat. In this case it was at least half the roll, and the flavor of cucumber was overpowering and I just could do it. So I asked for clarification. We also just ignored that his had bamboo shoots because he could just eat around them. I was told that by default that all the sushi rolls just come that way, so I asked for a to go box thinking my fiancé may want it the next day. I could overhear our waitress talking to someone about it behind us. The manager or maybe owner came up with the check and said that they would make it that way next time if I asked for it. When I pulled up the menu, she said that they ran out of room for printing. I said that it was pretty dangerous to do that because of food allergies, and honestly thinking about it that doesn’t make sense because several of the options had two rows of descriptions with things listed. I would’ve been totally satisfied with what was originally listed in the roll, remaking it, but the addition of cucumber was something I couldn’t get past. Regardless, we ended up paying and just leaving. I have no intentions on going back and I write this just as a forewarning. If you have food allergies, intolerances, or just don’t like a certain food - it’s a gamble on what you’ll get.

We went for lunch after doing some Christmas shopping. They have a lunch menu from 11am to 3pm. The food was all good. We tried a couple of soups we hadn't had before. My husband got the egg drop soup, not a big fan, it seemed too oily, he did like it more once he added the wonton strips. I got the wonton soup, it was really good. He ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce, which came with steamed rice, an egg roll, and steamed vegetables. I ordered the General tsos chicken with fried rice, peppers, carrots, and sauce along with an egg roll. Our daughter ordered the udon noodles with chicken minus the vegetables. It ended up being comparable to chicken noodles. She also ordered the strawberry milk tea (without the boba). She loved the drink. One last thing we ordered lol was the Derby roll. It was delicious!! Overall, the food was fantastic. The milk tea was surprisingly good (and only a couple dollars more than ordering a soda). The sushi was perfect! The waiter was very friendly and talkative. They also had a robot that delivered food to tables and took empty plates. I was not successful in getting a video of it, but it seemed pretty cool! We'll probably try again another time to try a rice bowl! Ok, one last thing, they had 2 sauces at the table, sweet and sour sauce and a spicy mustard. The spicy mustard was spiiiiiiiiiiiicy!!! If you like heat, try it (in small portions).

I swear this place sits in it's own little world, just serving up friendliness with good food. It sits in a spot that could make it easy to miss off Charlestown Road across from Prosser. Just passing by it, you'd never expect to be taken on a food venture that pulls you into a strong familial feeling. Quiet, quaint, good eats, kind service and feels a lot like nostalgia for something you never got to experience. 🧋This trip was specifically for the boba tea. The best tapioca style boba tea I have been able to find anywhere in the area. My daughter got the strawberry milk boba tea and I got the pineapple milk boba tea. The teas come in 18 milk(non-dairy creamer)flavors or 10 non-milk flavors in a standard medium size for $4.50 each. All of those can be purchased without boba. We tried the shrimp egg rolls for the first time and have agreed that they will now be part of each visit. The sushi rolls are always amazing too. I have tried all but the spicy rolls for dining in, carry out and delivery.

Saturday night was our first visit to this restaurant. It was also our last. I'm not sure how this place has the good reviews shown here. We placed an order online for a family dinner (6 people). The original pick up time was 6:15'-6:20pm. My husband arrived at 6:20 and was told it was going to be another 30 minutes!! There were 4 people dining in the restaurant and 3 people waiting for pickup orders. As time passed this grew, including Door Dash drivers. 30 minutes turned into 50 minutes!! Upon arriving home 10 minutes later, the food was luke warm and not exactly what we ordered BUT they did throw in FREEE Chinese donuts for our wait!! The donuts were the best part of the meal (however they were still doughy in the middle). Most of the entrees were inedible. Since we ordered online, we paid in advance AND tipped 20%!! Let's just say they got us on Saturday night but never again. I also feel bad for the Door Dash driver who was going to get a bad review only because of this place. They ruined family dinner for us and negatively impacted an earning opportunity for others. I hope they read this and do better in the future. Good luck but we won't be back and I just can't recommend this...
