This afternoon I visited the Burger King on Grant LINE Road in New Albany, Indiana and I must say, I have never felt so respected in seen and gotten such kind service from a fast food restaurant in all my 41 years. I am celiac and that creates a lot of challenges when eating on the run. And it creates even more challenges for the people who serve me when I failed to plan ahead. Today when I placed my order, I explained to the young man that I knew it was more work and may seem stupid, but that I needed my order without a bun and handled with care if possible. He didn’t make a face and he didn’t make a sound. He and his teammates quickly got to work. He made sure everything was handled with care as best he could, and when I apologized again for the inconvenience when he handed me my food, he looked me directly in the eye and said it is never a problem and it is more common than you think. He was a very young man who did not have to look at me with kind eyes and make me feel like I was not a burden however he chose to. He did not have to reassure me or validate me yet he chose to. I probably did not give him the thanks that he deserved, but I made sure to let him know that he was also seen in his kind actions. They may not have been fully equipped to handle a gluten-free request, but they absolutely went above and beyond handling it as best they could, and that was...
Read moreWe went there today to do a mobile order and my app wasn’t working, I went inside to get help, Kirsten helped me. It’s been a long time since I’ve had such great service. She helped me even though the app didn’t work perfectly, I still got the food how I wanted. Then on top of it the cook staff made my food perfectly and even though we had to drive 13 min our food was still hot and fresh since it was made hot and fresh. It’s been god forever since we’ve enjoyed fries from a fast food place after driving home or hell even in a fast food restaurant, we ate every single bit of the large fry that we shared. Our dog wasn’t happy about that lol he normally ends up eating the other half of our already split large fry. That’s how bad they’ve been. This whole team that was working today at about 3:00pm is amazing and I hope they get a big thank you. I haven’t enjoyed fast food in a while but get it because when I don’t want to cook it’s what I can afford with the app rewards. It was nice to truly enjoy great...
Read moreOkay it's 7:58 p.m. I went Burger King through the drive-thru. I thought they would be okay cuz I had one roll of pennies. my order was $2.38 and when I handed the lady two $1 bills and a roll of 50 Cent pennies. she treated me like I was homeless and a bum I ordered a small fry, 99 cent cheeseburger, and a large water she proceeded to give me my order. when I asked if it was a large water the girl looked at me in disgust I said our Waters only come in one size. when I said I would buy a larger size she rolled her eyes and walked away from me. well that is service with a smile isn't it to ensure I'll never be back to this nasty dirty place again. employees being rude and didn't even smile and today is the 16th of July 2019 and the girl could not even be polite. kind of makes me wonder what parents are teaching kids these daycs. I won't come back not to this...
