The server we had was very nice and very attentive; she is the reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one. The food was mediocre at best. It tasted like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for 20 minutes. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp which was rubbery. My boyfriend had the cheese enchiladas. The cheese on both was cold and tasted old. The whole restaurant needs a DEEP cleaning. The table we were sat at was sticky, the blinds on the windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the place opened. Lastly, the manager(?) was very unprofessional. When they would walk into the kitchen they would yell at the kitchen staff for people's food being cold and then walk right back out with a plate of food as if nobody could hear what she just said. Definitely will no go back Edit: this place used to at least decent about 4 years ago. Not sure...
Read moreLove the New Boston Amigo Juan's. It's been a staple for Mexican food for.my family for years. I love the Chimichangas there and my wife loves the cheese or chicken enchiladas. The salsa is pretty flavorful and the chips are plenty. I have a recent shellfish allergy and the wait staff and the cooks made sure they cleaned the grill off and made a note on my ticket. I ate with no issue she other day and I was so ecstatic for that help. The only reason it's not 5 star is the decor is a bit dates along with the menus. I know that's a minor thing but presentation is key to a restaurant. They do have a pretty good stocked bar on hand as well if you are looking for that. The food is not our of this world but neither are the prices. It is good, hot, fast and tasty and isn't that what we look for....

For instance: my favorite is the taco soup. Another is the chijuian shrimp, absolutely outstanding. Any order on the fajitas is sure to please the taste. Occasionally I will drink tea and find it to be full of Texas sweetness. I never see the dime people in the waitstaff. This is disheartening. I like restaurants in which I see familiar faces. That usually indicates better pay and good managers. I know covid has produced a hiring dilemma, so perhaps this is to be expected. The cooks seem to be pretty consistent and after all it is the food we are...
