The people were very nice, and it seemed like it could be a nice place if better managed. From reading other reviews, I see that ownership changed recently.
Here are my complaints: The online description describes a sit down restaurant but they seemed surprised we wanted to sit and put us in a concrete room about 20 yards from the main restaurant. It was an incredibly loud room and is in desperate need of sound dampening. (If the owners read this, I am an audio professional and recommend some baffles for the ceiling area, maybe some outdoor rugs, and hanging anything on the wall that can help with the echo) Our server was nice but because we were in a separate building, our orders were taken, and payment was taken, but the server disappeared in between never checking in and giving us no chance to ask for salt (none on table, and the food was in need of it), extra napkins or any restaurant staple like that. We were actually worried we were forgotten while waiting to pay after finishing our food. And a small gripe, they gave us our coffees in eco friendly disposable cups. I admire the effort, but the lids didn't fit so they were hard to drink out of and the card board softens with liquid. I don't understand why they couldn't have the actual eco friendly option of reusable mugs for a sit down breakfast place, but again, their surprise at us wanting to sit down could explain this. If they are more of a coffee shop than a diner, this should be better explained in the online listing for the restaurant and they should ditch the full brunch menu.
Overall disappointing, and I hope they get better. There are many other things I feel I could mention and go into detail on, like the overall food taste being bland, and the fact that we were made aware of needing to be out of the building for a party within the hour, but it just contributed to a mediocre experience. If anything changes, I may consider trying it again. The coffee was actually...
Read moreI’m going to start off by saying,, That I love this place it’s so quaint!! There is so many Positive reviews.. But, I think that some of these waiters are picking and choosing who they want to serve and make their day! Because my experience was terrible I felt like chopped liver! First thing in the morning, you want your coffee,, And a waiter should know,,common sense is to greet your customers and offer them a cup of coffee. Even if he’s the only one on the floor. You will know how to distribute your time wisely, so that you can take care of your customers. This does not mean sit and chat with them,,when there is only two tables. 🙄 I have always enjoyed this place. I love the atmosphere. I think it’s a nice nice place.,, and yes, the food is very, very good. But,,if you are a waiter or a waitress and you don’t like your job, maybe it’s time to move on.. SO don’t mess around and get some new waiters and some new waitresses that will actually cater to everyone evenly!! Because at the end of the meal, you just want that 20% tip and it’s not gonna happen, if you can’t step up to the plate!! Think about it it’s not as reasonable to eat out anymore, So when you want to, it’s always nice to have someone that will...
Read moreThe blonde lady that served us was not nice. We had a party of 6 and we sat inside the other dining room. She looked upset that we were in that room, like she didn't want to use that room and make it dirty. The table clothes were dirty like they don't get washed or switched out alot. The tiny tin water cup they gave had old avacado on it. When my wife asked for a glass of water with ice as her drink. She was told that she already had water as they pointed to the tiny cup with no ice. So she got a lemonade that was super watered down. It was my family's first time, and we will not be going back. All the eggs were overcooked, eggs Benedict was more like hard boiled eggs on english muffin. French toast almost cold when we got it (and $9 for two pieces is way overpriced in my opinion), no salt/pepper/condiments were on the table or even offered. The server handed every plate to my wife even though hers was clearly the first one in front of her. The only way I would recommend this to anyone is if you like poor service and overpaying for...
