Biggest ripoff ever. You pay $200 for a Cabana with a limit of six people. Anyone over is an additional $15. Coolers are $20 a peice. Even the lunch box size. Coolers are more expensive than people. The staff "accidentally" lost two of our 6 bracelets. They tried to charge us for the two lost bands. The $200 Cabana has people all over so it's not like it's your own space. The Cabana has a mesh like covering so it doesn't really block you from the sun. And parking, forget about it. It says free parking but that's a lie. They have a space for about 15 vehicles and all the surrounding neighborhoods have permit parking only. They do have little gulf cart type shuttles but not enough to pick up all the people and the stuff they are bringing in. Never, ever coming back to this f-ing place again.
Update: the Manger saw my review and came to talk. She asked for who the Cabana name was under, not who wrote the review. 7 of us rented it but of course it's only under one name. She said WE should have asked for a manager the second there was a problem...... Im sorry if a think it should have been the staff to say "let me see what my manager can do to help".... . Not put in the above review was how snarky the staff was when trying to figure out the "lost" two bands. When that was brought up to the manager her response was she knows exactly who I'm talking about and that, that employee processes things differently and she's not trying to be rude. She said they try to hire these young kids (no doubt because they are cheaper) and they run into these issues. Out of the 7 of us that pitched in for this place only one said they...
Read moreI have been here a few times in the fall and always love the atmosphere, convenience, and food but the summertime rush seems to have this place a bit disorganized. I rented a cabana for my bachelorette party and sadly the employees had to shoo other people out of our reserved space after we realized that they were in our cabana number. After that we were told there would be a 25 minute wait for tubes. After over an HOUR wait with no communication from the staff, I (the bride) was obviously very frustrated when the DJ announced that if people did not get in the river now, they would miss the last bus ( we still didn’t even get our tubes). I went to the tube location and they had a few piles of tubes available and were handing them to other guests. Again, no text message or communication as they promised from the beginning. I explained my frustration, that we had prepaid over a month for the cabana and tube rentals ($500 total) and they reluctantly gave us tubes but said we had to really hurry or we would miss the bus. We were able to float the river and catch the bus but did not have the stress-free and fun time I was hoping for. Personally, I think the business could improve by having the 6 tubes that were included in our rental to be ready upon arrival for that price. I would also recommend checking if the rental groups have arrived at the cabanas and verifying that other people are not occupying the reserved spaces which they did not pay for. To other groups looking to rent cabanas, I would recommend...
Read moreUsed to love this place and take all my friends and visitors from out of state. I found them to have the best deal around, and easy access to the water. You used to spend 15 to 25 per person and get one free drink and unlimited floats. It was awesome. Then they also serve food and drinks so you really could spend the whole day there. Things have changed! They remodeled quite a bit, looks nice, but...they took their whole parking area away leaving only the street. There is room for maybe 20 cars, and it costs 20 a day to the city. Then they now charge 25 dollars, just to be there. They didn't even ask me if I wanted to float, and when I mentioned it the girl said I can for 10 dollars per trip to get a shuttle back. So now I'm spending 25 just to enter, 20 for parking, and 10 if I wanna float just once. The float is maybe 1.5 hours from there if you go slow. For 3 people we spent 150 dollars just to float once and hang out. That's terrible for a day of fun for out of town friends, but not something you can do every weekend like we used to. Other float companies may not have all the fancy decor, but for 25 dollars i get access and at least my first float. They then charge 10 for extra float same day...and its longer because its before the tube chute. The staff was very unfriendly about the frustration, and many others had it too. They just kind of ignored our concerns and stared. Sadly I will be finding a new way to enjoy...
