Took a quick trip down to New Braunfels with the kids and a local recommended Muck & Fuss. This place was outstanding!! We sat outside on the patio - we were lucky to have perfect weather! Everything from the friendly service to the music made for a fabulous atmosphere, perfect after a long day at the Waterpark. Journey, our server, was quick to bring us waters and get our order started with some great cocktail recommendations (and a little sample of each to make sure we liked what we were getting)! The apps came out quickly and were delish! We had guac and salsa (the kids love the basics) and both were great! The chips here are realllly good. Also had the truffle fries and the tempura shrimp! The truffle fries are some of the best I’ve had- they are unique on the truffle fry “scene” because they were seasoned and have a truffle mayo but I would HIGHLY recommend for those of us that love a good truffle fry! The shrimp tempura was great as well, satisfied our 10 year old tempura lover- but these aren’t prepared like the typical tempura style either- they are tossed in a spicy mayo. Still crispy and delish! We ordered way more than we could eat but enjoyed stuffing our faces as much as we could! We had the Spicy Juicy Lucy burger (honestly I think this was the best thing we had- it was GREAT!), the street cred burger the shrimp tempura tacos and the Born & Raised tacos. For sides we did the Pimento Mac & cheese and the specialty tots. Both burgers were amazing - choosing one will depend on your own preference but I really don’t think you can go wrong! The tater tots weren’t really my thing (but I don’t love tots in general). They are really big and sorta “stuffed” - I can see them being popular with tater tot fans. Mac and cheese was fabulous- 6 year old and 10 year old approved! (And 40 year old 😁)! The tacos were good - but the burgers were better, honestly! The Born & Raised is reminiscent of a breakfast taco so it’s just naturally delish! The tempura is good as well- it had a lot of the Asian slaw so if that’s not your thing you’d probably prefer the tempura appetizer instead! We didn’t have any of the specialty draft beers, but we did have a few cocktails! I had a spicy jalapeño marg and hubs had their take on an old fashioned- both were approved ✅✅ Altogether I really think this is a can’t miss stop in New Braunfels! Add it to your list!

Nice little craft bar in downtown New Braunfels. Parking is limited at the actual bar parking lot, so had to circle around a few times on the main street. Not the bar's fault as space is limited and the area parking is shared by all the downtown businesses. The weekend wait varied from 20 minutes to an hour depending upon the party size, but the text messaging notification system allows you to walk around to kill time. Ended up sitting at the bar which I initially didn't like, but actually liked better as allowed for more casual eating and drinking without feeling rushed. There were approximately 30 craft beers on tap which are displayed with descriptions on the board at the bar as well as TV monitors around the restaurant. There were also cocktail drinks and their alcoholic " boozy shakes" for those not wanting beers. I tried a few flights of 4 to taste the different beers, all were good. Tried the boozy shake, was good, just a little sweet for my taste. Ordered the Spicy Juicy Lucy burger with trufflin fries and a wedge salad. Burger was amazing and not just for bar food, the jalapeno aioli really set it apart. It was very juicy, fresh, and flavorful. Fries were just as good. Wedge salad was better than the average wedge salad. Will definitely come back to try more of the beers. My favorite was the "Tasty AF Peanut Butter and Chocolate Milk Stout" was actually tasted like peanut butter and chocolate. Tried many other peanut butter & chocolate craft beers, but they usually don't taste like it. It was crowded and probably a wait, but there are stores around to kill the time and the food & drinks were worth the wait.

Decided to head to Muck & Fuss for drinks and dinner with a group of friends. Two of our party have never been, so it was a treat for them. Started with a few drinks in the Biergarten waiting on our table. The guys had the #9 on the drink menu, which was a light bodied craft beer with a hint of blueberry. Sounded a little weird, but was actually pretty good. The ladies had the #28 which was the “mead”. They said it was very good. We were seated inside at one of the larger corner booths, which was perfect for our group. We were blessed to be paired with an awesome server named Alex. She was very attentive and funny! (Thanks Alex!!) My wife and I had different taco plates. She had the Piggy Tacos, which is based with pulled pork and Mac n cheese. She really liked them! I had the Road Crossing, which is fried chicken, mexican street corn, crumbled bacon, shredded pepper jack cheese, pickled red onions & southwest ranch dressing. The mix of fried chicken and street corn was a great combo. The flavor was very good. I also had onion rings with my meal, which I was very surprised to find them very good, as good homemade onion rings are rare to find. We left for a bit then came back to the Biergarten for more drinks and found a solo artist who was VERY good, Hannah Swann. Check her out, she’s fantastic! Overall the entire experience at Muck and Fuss was excellent as always!! The staff is attentive and friendly, the place just has an inviting and fun vibe to it. Definitely a must try if you’re in New Braunfels!!

Today was my second visit to Muck & Fuss in New Braunfels and it was fabulous! The atmosphere of this restaurant is built to feel industrial with antique-ish decor yet leaving the space light and airy. The bar is open to the inside and the patio and the patio has space for live music. Our bartender Ally was quick to greet us and put in our drink order of Spicy Bloody Mary’s with Tito’s. The Bloody Mary’s came out garnished with bacon, mozzarella cheese, a pickled green bean, a pickled ocra and the traditional green olive. This drink was perfect and delicious! For an appetizer we ordered the Buffalo Herd fries. These are their Cajun fries topped with Buffalo sauce, house made buttermilk ranch dressing, blue cheese crumbles, celery salt and green onions. If you’re a fan of Buffalo I highly recommend these. We ate them all. For the main course we each ordered the Wedge Salad. You know to balance the fries?! lol the Wedge was a traditional iceberg wedge served with bacon crumbles, blue cheese crumbles, roasted tomatoes, blue cheese dressing and balsamic reduction (I asked for this to not be on it). This salad did not disappoint and was of course the perfect balance to the fries. This restaurant once again checks all the boxes. Thank you Ally for your attention to details and winning smile! Definitely will come back again!!

UPDATE (8 SEP 2024): Hard to believe it had been 2 years since we last went to Muck & Fuss, but it had. My wife and I up in New Braunfels running errands on Saturday and decided to have lunch here again. Timing was perfect at 1130, and we were seated right away. Was much busier as we left an hour later... As before, the service and food were outstanding. We would have eaten outside on the patio, as the temp was awesome, but it was also really windy, so elected for an open table inside. Our server was super, and our burgers...man, they are simply some of the best we've ever had. Super-tender meat, and the fusion of the flavors is just amazing, no matter which burger you get. Excellent, clear, strong tea, too--always an indicator of restaurant quality in Texas! Still very highly recommended! ORIGINAL POST 2 YEARS AGO: We've heard about Muck & Fuss for years, but had never eaten there. Hit it for lunch after participating in the annual Startzville 4th of July parade. As expected, it was very busy, but our wait was only about 20 mins, so not too bad. Service was excellent, and the burgers--whoa--truly excellent. The various ingredients they list for all their burgers are fascinating, and the fusion of flavors on ours was outstanding. Highly recommended, and we'll be back!

This place was excellent! The weather was perfect, in the low 70s, so we sat at the outside bar. There was a 20 minute wait and we ordered a Live Oak Hefeweizen (my wife’s go to) and I ordered some peach drink. They were both delish but I think the cocktail was a little pricey. After we were seated, (1st available) we went inside. The other half of the bar is in here too. Very neat concept. The length of the bar is basically a window or doorway to the outside as well. Bars are on either side where the bartender works both sides. Inside and out. Really cool. The vibe in here was mellow and laid back. It was lunch. I ordered a Bloody Mary that was super tasty and had a plethora of veggies (I ate some before the pic), and it was a perfect level of spice. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich but opted to turn it into tacos. Great choice! These hit just right. My wife ordered the breakfast burger and was very satisfied with it. It was filling and delectable. We both ordered a side salad. I was pleased that his is a healthy option as opposed to fries (which you can order as well). The salads were great. We looked this place up on Yelp and were very pleased. Excellent food and service! I would come back in a pinch if we visit again!
