Douglas Pizza and Grill is located directly beneath the Rockoff Hall complex on George Street. There is not much as far as street-front parking is concerned, but there are meter spots further down the street and parking for Rockoff around the side of the building. The establishment has a moderately large seating area and a good variety of beverages to choose from. There is also a good selection of different toppings to choose from at the counter.
My apologies for not taking a picture before partially devouring the plain slice. I almost forgot to grab a picture entirely. Anyway, the plain slice had a nice, crispy base with good quality cheese and sauce. The crust was fluffy and delicious. The cheese steak slice had just the right amount of steak. I was thankful they kept the tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese because it really helped shape the flavor nicely. The slices were both very consistent with both their cheese to tomato sauce ratio, the crispiness of their base, and fluffiness of their crust. I am very happy with the quality and consistency of these slices. Well done,...
Read moreWe’ve ordered from Douglass in the past for our meetings and majority of the time it’s been smooth no problem. However this time was far from that. We had ordered delivery, and they had got one of our pies wrong. Upon delivery, driver was very very unprofessional, one of us had asked for help to take it out of his vehicle, he denied and just stood there. The day after our order, several of us experienced symptoms which pointed towards food poisoning. The only common denominator is the pizza we had all eaten the night before since there was no interaction beyond that. Very disappointed in this experience especially the quality of the food/ingredients not being up to par resulting in stomach sickness. Not sure if we will be ordering from them again given the unprofessional service/behavior and clearly some sort of health hazard and or pure negligence regarding their ingredients or condition of...
Read moreA few years ago I bought a slice of Buffalo pizza here and it was one of the best I'd ever had. I came back today, April 18th, and ordered a whole Hawaiian pizza to pick up. It surprised me at home with the kids. The pineapple was damaged and very dark, as if it had been burnt. When I tried it, the taste and smell seemed spoiled, and it was a totally bad experience. I think the quality of the ingredients isn't being properly monitored. I didn't even let the kids eat the pizza, leaving the pineapple out. It was a disaster. This is the first time this has happened to me buying pizza. I called the pizzeria twice to alert them and let the owner know to check the pineapple so that the same thing doesn't happen to someone or make them sick. I hope they can fix that problem. Unfortunately I had to throw it away completely. The price I paid was $20 and a few cents for...
