Tony's Deli | New Canaan — Restaurant in New Canaan

I was working next-door ordered a pastrami and Swiss grinder. They called me back and told me they were out of grinder rolls so they had to make it on a roll so I said to myself OK great I really didn’t wanna spend 1450 for a grinder when they rung me out. It was $14 was told a role is $.50 cheaper than a grinder roll. OK whatever when I open the sandwich up I couldn’t see any cheese on it, when I called them and brought it back, they looked at it and told me the cheese had melted. That’s why I couldn’t see it. Or taste it apparently The cheese that they use melts and dissipates into thin air I had to threaten them to get my money back then went across the street and got an awesome hamburger for nine dollars. If the sandwich didn’t cost me $14 I would’ve never went back but a pastrami and Swiss on a hard roll for $14 when you can’t see or taste the cheese...

I lived in New Canaan CT for a good two years while my parents were getting ready too retire.

Every Friday after my lunch shift at South End (no longer there). I'd grab myself one of their amazing sandwiches. Spicy chicken cutlet was one of my favorites. Thr Philly cheese steak was soo good too.

I'd even pick up a sandwich for my mother and we'd eat lunch together.

I'd also grab a quick mid shift sandwich on my Sunday doubles at south end. My coworkers and I would put in a few sandwich orders on Sunday and bring them back too south end between brunch and dinner.

As an Uber eats and doordash driver, this restaurant absolutely sucks. Rude employees, they simply refuse to serve delivery drivers. If you order on Uber eats or doordash, your food will 100% be cold and stale. Not only that, I got to eat this place for free (lucky turned out not so lucky customer cancelled the order) and the sandwich I got for free wasn't even worth the $0 I...
