It was a pretty typical Mexican restaurant. Nothing really stood out or was exceptional. I ordered the Fajitas Jalisco, which is what they were calling my usual dish, which is Fajitas with 3 specific proteins. That being chicken , steak, and shrimp . Decent decor with a mix of tables and booths. A few murals on a few walls were the highlight of the visit. I got seated right away and soon had my coke no ice and a basket of chips and a small bowl of salsa. I had my usual complaints that being the chips seemed stale, and the salsa was thin and watered down. I always get excited when I find a place that has thick, rich, and chunky salsa with some spice. This was not it. The rice and beans place was beautifully put together. Great presentation and portions. But the skillet that is the main dish was disappointing. It looked like it had just been poured onto the skillet, and the portions were smaller and almost underwhelming. Like usual, I told them to keep the tortillas I the kitchen as I don't eat them. I also asked for a couple of roasted jalapenos instead. They did toss in a few sliced up rings of jalapenos, which were appreciated. It was a good overall visit. I'm just surprised that there wasn't more follow-up during the course of the meal. I could have used more napkins and maybe some hotsauce as the proteins were pretty dry. My cup sat empty for a while, and it wasn't until I was looking around trying to get someone's attention that I got a refill and the bill. I will say the bill was cheaper than I expected, that being 17.81 with the tax in. I would definitely eat here again, but not before having a chance to try the other Mexican restaurant just over a mile away.

Los Amigos is always good! I tried the carne asada, and it was sooooo good! Then we had the fried ice cream...ohh if you haven't tried that then you are missing out! Now, it's not as good as chi chi's was, but when there's no chi chi's, you eat what you can find...Los Amigos! Los Amigos everyone! Sorry folks, but I have a tendency to eat the same thing, if I like it, and I LIKE the Carne Asada and the Tacos de Carne Asada! Ooohhhh and the Fried Ice Cream!🤫 Maybe something is wrong with my DNA/genes/brain/etc, lol, oh well at least you can trust me when I say it's good, because I DON'T eat anything gross 🤢!!

Very poorly ran. Had young children working as a hostess while the lady in the front spent most of her time on her phone while standing behind the register. The tortillas were hard, the food lacked flavor. It seems this establishment lost its leadership and you can tell by the lack of care put into the food. The waiter didn’t even come by to check on the table for refills or chips but 1 time. I’m f you’re looking for a bland Mexican restaurant you can find a great choice here otherwise I’d find a different one.

I came in last Friday to get a late lunch, Around 3 they we're not busy with customers But looked as if cleaning up after a busy lunch. I personally get that, I was a waitress for too many years. I as always got the #7 no beans xrice. After I put my order in I had to remind him of my cheese. Not once but twice. And when he finally brought me my lunch as we all know pull arms back cause the plates are past hot. I was gonna eat my chips and cheese Until my food cooled off. Folks when I say I leaned over the plate and it was Odveoues he didn't get it right out of the oven. I took a bite and my food was cold. Again I got His attention and Xplained what was wrong. His solution is to put it in the microwave🤔 I was not having that, SORRY NOT SORRY. I told him I would pay for my chips salsa and cheese and the drink however I was not paying for something I didn't eat. I thought he went to get my bill. I was approached By i guess was Mgr and he asked what my problem was. Yes ma'am I said that right. Not what's the problem. But My problem. Needless to say I will not be back in there. TACO...

I come from a more populated area than New Castle, so I am very familiar with "McMexican" restaurants, as I call them. That is not a put down. I enjoy eating at these establishments.

Being familiar with what is offered, I will say the food was on par with what I expected. It was those who worked there which was a disappointment to me. The service was "okay."

Maybe because I come from an area where there are "McMexican" restaurants every mile or so, which means those who work there must have a smile on their face and expressions of gratitude expressed in their words to keep customers happy, I expect that same level of service even in New Castle.

Silly me.

If you don't like Indiana, leave. If you don't like America, leave. If you like where you live, but don't like your job, leave it. Find what you want, find where you want to be. But don't blame others for your failure...
