Our server told us she would be right back... when she told her we were in a rush for lunch . She said she would try but they were busy. They weren't that busy when compared to similar restaurants.
I ordered salad instead of the the soups I didn't like. The below picture is what she brought out. Lettuce, 1 cucumber and tomato with dressing. Very underwhelming and I was up charged to get it instead of soup and coleslaw.
The tenderloin sandwich was ok and fries were mediocre.
I was never offered or asked if I wanted a refill... on water! One of the guys with me never got his toast or coffee. Another got his Greek salad in like 3 different trips.
Unfortunately, our server did not appear to have a clue today and was meandering around like she was busy but wasn't. We seriously hopes she improves.
The line at the checkout wasn't any better as there is no separate registrar for to-go orders. With to-go food being set on the counter it causes delays for those trying to pay and go. Nobody asked how our food or service was. When I asked about my up charge is was told that "even McDonald's" charges for mayo now.
Sadly, I had to take the hit for recommending Stacks and wished I would have picked Chinese across the street instead.
You may want to consider a different food...
Read moreHad several orders that were placed at the same time. After each one I stated "on the next order..." the young lady taking the orders didn't know the menu or what the foods were. Upon arrival the bags where all over the counter and the orders were added as one, when I stated that they had to be rang separately, I was met with a disbelief. The lady at the register started stabbing at the machine and actually HUFFED in expiration as I was explaining each order again. People starting to line up waiting to pay behind me and I asked if she wanted to take care of them first... no answer. After going over everything again, found one order was forgotten. Still couldn't get the orders right and separated so I just had her put everything on one card. 😕 no thank you, sorry or anything and had to pay separately for the forgotten one. I asked if the sauce was in the bag ( that I had specifically asked for when ordering) another lady went and got it, SHE said sorry. I had to make 4 trips to get the food to my car ( no help was offered not even a box). When I got the orders back, several were wrong and some things were missing altogether. I have been to Stacks a lot but this was a SAD experience! Not returning...
Read moreA decent family diner with reasonable prices and decent portions. I consider breakfast to be the highlight of my experiences here - and it is available all day. Offers a decent selection of American, Greek, and limited Mexican dishes. I cannot recommend the salads, which tend to be 90% iceberg lettuce with a slice of pepper (Greek) or cherry tomato (Caesar) to distinguish it. Gyro meat (available in an omelet, flatbread Gyro sandwich, or in a plate) is decent. Many of the lunch/dinner entrees remind me of frozen/pre-prepared wholesale food heated and served to the customer (this is probably why I prefer breakfast, since it is the meal where fresh is usually used instead of frozen). Pies are obviously wholesale, not baked on premise. Omelets are quite good. The staff has been pleasant in all of my numerous visits; in about 50% of the cases, something is forgotten, but the overlooked item is quickly resolved. Would probably be five stars if they didn't pretend to be "home cooking." Otherwise, this is wholesale diner food served decently in a comfortable setting and with good portions at affordable prices. Think a cross between Denny's and Applebee's with an extra star for breakfast, and you...
