What a find! We stumbled upon this place by accident and WOW! We got an order of the chicken and rice for our 5 year with plantains. And my wife and I shared a plate of mofongo with pork and a Cubano sandwich. All the food was amazing! The best I’ve had of all the above north of Puerto Rico. The place, including the bathroom are very clean. The ambiance is low key and chill with Spanish music playing in the background. Also the owners of the place are very kind and helpful in explaining what they have available on the hot bar. We will be back. 10/10

What a fantastic addition to East Rock! This has become our go to for a quick and delicious meal. Excellent vegetarian and vegan options as well. The food is extremely flavorful, and the owners are so nice and generous. Multiple options from the hot bar (which I highly recommend) and they have an extensive ala carte menu as well (including delicious empanadas)! So happy to have them in the neighborhood!

Fantastic food every time I’ve gone. Breakfast sandwich is just right, the cubano with their house roasted pork is divine, and just tried the mofongo which was perhaps the most flavorful meal I’ve had yet. House sauces and juices are great too! Only improvement I could imagine is non disposable cutlery/cups/plates for dining in, especially if the parking lot in the front becomes a real patio :)

Imagine, if you will, a luncheon experience of unparalleled caliber which will revolutionize your concept of lunch as you know it. Or better yet, cuisine so divine in quality that it challenges the very fundamentals of human flavor comprehension? Ah, too good to be true, one might say. "I've heard this one before" chimes the naysayer. Well, what if I did you one further and revealed such a place existed within walking distance in YOUR neighborhood?

Yes, everyone in East Rock has had the P&M and Nicah's sandwiches, perhaps even Atticus: but real ones go to Sabor Sajoma.

They also have a good grocery...

Sable Sajoma Kitchen is amazing. The Pernil roasted pork shoulder is the best I’ve had. Crackling crispy skin and super tender meat. The rice and beans are also outstanding and as good as it gets, very authentic Domican/latin food . They have tasty and healthy side dishes as well and vegetarian options. I also recommend their Tres Leches cake. Great food options for lunch time or to go that is delicious...
