The service is terrible, from what I can gather from being there is it’s family owned, all the employees are family. They take their customers for granted, probably because they’re located inside the train station, and have no need to worry about getting repeat business, and it shows in the way they treat customers. Don’t asked any questions because they can’t be bothered to answer them. Also a plain ch slice is 4$+tax and any beverage is 2$+, at the bare minimum 7$ is the least amount of money you’re getting out of the for. Which is reasonable considering you are at the train station, also I’ve had sbarro’s at many different places and this one in particular was one of the worst, floppy slices. Even after purchasing my food and drink I asked for an empty cup with top and was charged 1$, which whatever but things like that factor in to my overall opinion of the place. Besides all that I’ve mentioned it really seamed like anything that was asked or anything that involved them to move more than 5 feet from where they were standing was a super inconvenience. Lastly on numerous occasions I’ve asked them at the end of the night if they were planning on throwing the left over food away, I would take it and give out to the homeless, naturally they refused, reason being they couldn’t be bothered with doing that every night, they rather throw the food out. I’m all for people coming to this country working hard and making a living here for them and their families, not that it has any relevance but this family is Middle Eastern, and chose to get into the pizza business and I’m Italian so when you decide to get into this type of business I would appreciate it if it were done with a certain level of pride, not just something you choose because they feel it’s simple and profitable, to me that very offensive, but it’s open to whatever nationality wants to give it shot, and that’s exactly how it should be. Overall I’m disgusted with how they treat customers , the cleanliness of the place, they way they will use pizza that’s been sitting in their display all day, making a fresh pie a few times a day cost pennies, no reason not to have fresh slices at all times, but the thing that put me over the top and prompted me to write this post is seeing there works drop pizza and other ingredients on the floor and without thinking twice pick it up use it an serve...
Read moreGreat place. Helpful. Throwback to days when Sbarros were everywhere.
I really liked that they allowed me to fill my water bottle. I don't like to waste, and it means a lot to me.
This place is clean, has friendly front end staff, and offers several kinds of beer and cider on tap. I think I would have really enjoyed some breadsticks or possibly some of the pizza. It's a bit of a throwback to when I was a kid and there was a Sbarros in every mall and every rest stop in America. This place looks nice. I would go out of my way to eat here. And you should too -- it's one hallway down towards all the trains from the main lobby, and I believe for their courtesy, helpfulness, cleanliness, and fresh 90's Sbarros smells, it's worth a 30 second walk.
Though I had already purchased a sandwich from another place in the station -- a place that wouldn't fill my water bottle with sink water. And stopped at another place closer to the front entrance that also let me know their policy is disposable plastic for sale, yes. Water...
Read morePossibly the worst fast food experience ever. I'm not sure how they can stay in business. The pizza was limp and soggy. The counter, drink bar, and dining area were littered with packaging debris and spills, and the drink bar wasn't stocked with lids. The customer service was downright rude. The woman at the counter was only willing to serve pizza or breadsticks. It wasn't clear if they simply didn't bother carrying any other menu items, or if she just didn't want to make them. My questions were met with shrugs, glares, and shouts. "NO LIDS!" "NO SALAD!" My food was shoved across the counter at me. I had already paid for a drink before realizing I couldn't take it with me because "NO LIDS!" and juggling a suitcase onto a train just doesn't work. Do not spend...
