Captain Hook Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in New Hope

UPDATE: I called Captain Hooks today and asked to speak with the owner, who I was told by "Rasheed", was not in. I asked for the owner's name and Rasheed, who I believe is the owner, was hesitant in giving me his and the owner's name.

I was at Captain Hooks located at 7100 Bass Lake Road, New Hope, MN 55428 restaurant on Wednesday 11/27@ about 9:30 pm. I ordered a #8,#6,6wings with fries and 2 extra wings. And the food was horrible and that's not what I'm use to when I order from here. Which I haven't done in a while because I no longer live in the area. The chicken was reheated chicken not fresh cooked chicken. The fries were mixed with fresh fries and recooked fries, some of the fries burst with grease when we bit into them. And the catfish nuggets were dry, meaning they were reheated or over cooked and had no flavor. I was very disappointed because as I stated before, I've always had fresh food and a good experience getting food from this restaurant. This has deterred me from going back. Your customers deserve and should have freshly prepared food. Not food that was reheated, dry and flavorless.

I was told by Rasheed that I would need to bring the food back so that it could be replaced.As I already stated I don't live in the area. Who keeps food especially if it's bad and you don't live in the area. Rasheed could have addressed the issue and offered other ways to resolve the issue but he did not. Because of that, I will not be patronizing your restaurant again "Rasheed".

Ordered through door dash, and I want to make it clear I have no issues with the door dash service we received. We ordered online and got a fish and chicken dinner, with a catfish and shrimp dinner. Each meal came with a fountain drink, so we chose a coke and a Sprite. Yet somehow, the meal arrived with 2 cans of Pepsi. Pretty sure that's false advertising if they don't even have coke. (They also weren't fountain drinks but instead they were canned.) Pepsi vs coke shouldn't be a huge deal but a place not knowing how to make a menu accurate is a pet peeve of mine. Giving a Pepsi instead of a Sprite is notably worse. Also, the toast the meals are supposed to come with was not present. Not sure if that again is just ineptitude on menu, or if it was just missed on both meals by coincidence. Catfish was most likely not actually catfish as it tasted the same as my perch. So more lies from the menu.

Beyond that food was mediocre, and the menu was very limited. Granted I'm not sure if their actual food selections are that limited, or if the menu is just completely inaccurate on that as well. Food was also horrifically expensive when fast food is usually better seasoned. Although I will have to verify that the bank charge matches as I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the menu was wrong about that too.

With the review being long and relatively detailed I did want to point out I had this proofread to make sure all my points were accurate. Definitely upset that I put more effort into this review than they did...

Used to order from here quite a bit. Then I called one day to order and all the sudden the prices they have on their website AND their menu in the store went up which is fine but had to literally argue we were JUST there 2 days ago and it went up atleast $15. Also they sell family meals that USED to come with fries also, JUST got food from here and ordered a family meal and fries came with it, a different guy is working and all the sudden fries don't come with the family meal anymore and he says it changed a year ago which was a lie because we were JUST there for food not even a month before. Used to come here for family meals and larger meals but...
