Sushi Mizu — Restaurant in New Iberia

This place is too hyped up for no reason. I ordered the steak hibachi that is supposed to come with a salad & soup but I didn’t receive the soup or salad. The fry rice was very bland. The server was told multiple times that the soup & salad was not received but didn’t seem to do anything about it. We waited for about 30 mins to 1 hour to get our food. Beef Tar Tar was ordered also, didn’t taste good at all. It was very nasty and sour. We ordered 2 Ramen Bowls & only received 1 bowl. Patiently waited for the other bowl but again didn’t not come out at all so we ended up just canceling the other ramen bowl. Also had to wait about 20 mins for Dr Pepper and water because she forgot. If I didn’t ask about it, I probably wouldn’t have received it. We had to ask for chopsticks when that should have been one of the first things we got since we ordered sushi. The ONLY good thing is the fresh sushi. To say my family and I waited so long for our food, the server didn’t bring out everything. We waited another 20 mins to 40 mins thinking the rest of the food would be out but still didn’t get anything. So we ended up asking the server about the rest of the food & seem like she forgot about it so whatever was not brought to us, we ask for it to-go. Me an my husband came eat here when they 1st opened it was amazing. A couple months ago we came back and i ordered the NY strip and chicken hibachi and everything literally everything was burnt nothing on my plate tasted good I couldn't get passed burnt flavor. Me being pregnant I couldn't stomach the burnt. I ended up walking out on my husband they took it off our bill an we left. We came back to try it tonight. The service was absolutely slow! Me an my husband took a couple bites an had to leave. We spent 60+ dollars on our food in store. And I ordered 2 crab salads an 2 large soups to go. IM PISSED WITH AMOUNT OF SOUP I GOT IN A LARGE. Last night, I celebrated my anniversary with my family. The food was pretty good, as always, but the service was lacking. Multiple times, I went and the service was either awkward or sub par. I tipped way more than I should have and left regretting going. From my observation, the waitstaff is struggling, but also not working as a team. I think this place could do better if management understands and implements, at the least, good service. However, it was obvious that service struggled but there was no manager in the dining room checking on tables. I didn’t let this ruin a special day and kept it cordial. PS.
