A number of months ago during a visit to New Milford, my wife and I had dinner at Vegas Mexican Kitchen. At that time, we were very much impressed with our entire meal. From the appetizer, to the entree and dessert, the food was excellent. It was a welcome experience. Flash forward to this past Wednesday. On a return trip to the area we decided Vegas Mexican Kitchen would be our choice for first night dinner. We were very pleased to find our dining experience was as exceptional as the first visit. Having traveled a bit we realize good authentic Mexican cuisine is hard to find, especially in New England. We have to say this is the best Mexican restaurant we have been to in a very long time. Every item we had tasted fresh, was not overly spiced and the portions were plentiful. The sauces were thick and had the proper flavor from what we would consider central Mexico. From the kitchen staff to the servers, they made our meal a delightful experience. If you want good traditional Mexican, The Vegas Mexican Kitchen is the place to go. Sigan con el buen trabajo. Nos vemos en el...

My daughter wanted to try it and we love our Mexican food so we went to grab dinner. I explained to the server I had allergies to gluten and dairy and asked for the grilled chicken salad and beans on the side. She assured me everything was safe bringing me my food. The next morning I woke up in our hotel room with the biggest migraine and I couldn't stop throwing up. (That's my reaction to dairy.) Our 3 hour drive home turned into a 5 hour drive. I had to keep stopping to throw up or lay down. I definitely wish I could get my $45 back because it was the worst experience ever. 🤢 Theo's diner was amazing! We had brunch there on Friday (4/11/25). You live and you learn I guess but just putting it out there for anyone else who might've experienced something similar or warn others with my issues...

Classic Mexican Restaurant experience, bar or booths, the thing that sets Vegas Mexican apart from others is it authentic Mexican food and authentic Mexican roots.
Ricardo Vega can be often found tending bar, is quite affable, quick with a smile and offer to assist. Wednesday around 1:30, I popped in, so I ordered from that lunch menu (I'll include a photo). I ordered the shredded chicken Enfrijolatas with bean sauce, which included corn tortillas, topped with black bean salsa, avocado, onions, queso fresco, and sour cream. Available with ground beef, shredded chicken or cheese, served with rice and beans.
