I'd like to share my experience at Attiki with all of you. The atmosphere at Attiki was truly welcoming and everyone I encountered was incredibly friendly. The service was impeccable, and not only the staff, but even the other patrons were warm and engaging. It was heartwarming to see people striking up conversations and getting to know each other while enjoying their drinks. I also heard great things about Hoka from a friend, and I can confirm that the place was indeed spotless. My personal favorite was the calamari - it was absolutely delicious. What impressed me even more was the convenience of having a vending machine selling cigars and wraps. It's not something you see every day. As I was saying my goodbyes, I inadvertently left my shopping bag on my chair. To my surprise, a young lady from the establishment rushed out to return it to me. Her thoughtfulness left a lasting impression on me. A big thank you to everyone at Attiki for such a wonderful experience. It truly made my day.

My partner and I went in for lunch after walking much of the area during Mardi Gras. When we entered we were immediately greeted by our server Shaq ( hopefully spelled correctly). Shaq brought us to our table and was very patient with us while we were choosing from the amazing menu at the best price points we have seen by Canal St. and also made great conversation around popular items. We ordered steak fries, Gyro hummus tzatztiki and beef kabob tips. The steak fries came out within 10 minutes with amazing presentation and were so flavorful. The portions were all generous. Both our main courses outside of the steak fries came with sides which we chose the lentil soup and couscous consisting of a zesty lemon base that was rich and amazing texture. TLDR ( Wait staff was kind, courteous and attentive and the food was so good we asked the barkeep at the local hotel to microwave our left overs in their staff break room. It tasted just as good as when fresh)

The first time we went the place was steady flowing with customers. We only went for the Hookah and a drink. I'm from California first time I've ever seen people smoke and eat in the same location that was new to me. The Hookah was fuego, tasted yummy, and refreshing the young lady who helped us was very helpful and attentively refreshed our coals. It was a chill time we had our own lil' karaoke night and others joined in such a good vibe!!!! The second night still just went for the Hookah and a little more of a chill atmosphere but it was also a Tuesday. They gave us more space to relax and chat while we unwind. Over all a great place to let out great energy. The bartender was very stoic, she was busy doing it alone it gets overwhelming, get her some help cause I get it!! Great job ladies!!!!

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very soothing and relaxing. The manager was very rude and dismissive. Our waitress was as well. She was not very attentive to our party. Several other servers had to wait on us and we had to go to our waitress to retrieve our check that included gratuity for our three people party. We ask a waitress about it and voiced our concern about our experience and that we wanted to tip at our own discretion. We asked to speak with the manager. He was immediately defensive and jumped to the conclusion that we refused to pay our bill when all we wanted was an explanation of why the gratuity was so much and included in our total. He used scare tactics and threatened to called the police and I told him that was fine. He walked off and another waitress came to our table very calm and opening and answered the questions that we wanted answered. She expressed that she did not want the cops called on us and we explained that we had no issue talking with the cops. Once the cops arrived he wanted us to come outside of the restaurant to talk with the officer and we expressed that we did not feel comfortable doing so, and at the time there was only one cop. His reason for not coming in was because he did not want to leave his car unattended. Shortly after, 4 police officers came to our table and they were very sweet and helpful. They encouraged us to report them to the BBB. Upon leaving the establishment the manager walked to our table smiling and laughing attempting to apologize and wanted to take us outside to do so. We informed him that he was very rude to us and that if he wanted to apologize he could do so in the establishment where he allowed the officers to come in and talk to us. He accused us of saying that we were not going to pay our tab which was never the case. He also expressed that he called the officers in case he needed to restrain us. We were calm with him, we never cursed, disrespected, nor became loud with him. We expressed that we didn't understand why he felt the need to call them because he would need to restrain us. He informed us that it was because we refused to pay which was never the case. We informed him that he was very wrong for the way he handled the situation and in that moment he was continuing to be rude to us and the apology was made out of obligation. He then told us he was done and asked us to have a good night and he walked off. We will be reporting them to the BBB and contacting the owner. The manager name was Eric. Again the food was amazing and the hookah was as well. The service was not and we were treated unfairly and inappropriately in the establishment. Go at your own risk and stay away from Eric because he will not answer or accommodate any concerns or issues...

I used to love this place. But last night was unreal. Portions were small, took 30 minutes to get our hookah. Gratuity is included, BUT our server only came twice in our 2 hours there. Our bill was about $140, after the AUTOMATIC gratuity they include, our bill came to over $200. They are purposely making groups pay on one bill, so the gratuity percentage will be higher based on the total as well as taxes unfortunately, they give you no option to split the bill. Which is sad because the service is horrible. Gratuity for 4 people came to 29.38, the taxes were $16.03. Not to mention we had a roach join us for dinner. They didn’t offer anything because of what happened they just moved us to another table not even an apology. The bathrooms and restaurant are absolutely filthy. Off the gratuity the restaurant automatically charges in a DAY they could pay to clean it. Our hookah hose kept coming out and the tips didn’t fit. The hookah was harsh and we had to keep hunting down a waitress to change the coals. Overall it was a terrible experience. I’m a local who comes here a lot and refers people a lot to here, so it’s sad the establishment is dirty and their really just trying to find a way to maximize cheating people out of money. My food & drink came to $33.. I ended up paying almost $50 after taxes and automatic gratuity. My friend got the wrap and she hated it was dry. The steak fries were a very small portion and they barely put any sauce on it. Definitely ruined our Sunday night plans with greed from the restaurant. How bad the service and ambiance is no way a tip should be included. Our waitress was bartending AND...

The reason for the 1 star was the service. We sat at a corner table in the restaurant for a quieter location so we could talk. As we talked, I realized the server was handing out silverware. She passed a set with napkin across the table to my wife. I looked down and there was a napkin with silverware on the corner of the table to my right between me and our friend's wife. When I pulled it closer to me, the server rushed to that corner of the table and told me that wasn't my dinnerware. That "The Ladies are served first and if I had any manners, I would know that!" I told her that I was just trying to be helpful, the silverware was there on my right and she wouldn't have to walk around the table again. She then continued to berate me over my manners. Thinking she just had a dry sense of humor, I remained congenial waiting for her to break this growingly awkward situation with a smile or laugh. Unfortunately, she continued. She even asked which of the ladies was my wife and told her she felt sorry for her being married to an ill-manner guy like me. After about 5 minutes of her tirade, she moved off muttering under her breath. From that point on, she would address the table but not me. Her poor attitude towards me ruined my dinner and put a damper on the rest of the table. My dinner was fine, but her behavior was inexcusable. Don't take the chance the server will ruin your evening for food that...
