Week stay - Sept 1st - Sept 8 Check-in at 4 p.m. and check-out at 10 a.m. (They will bill $50/h for extended checkout time.) *note. If flight is earlier/later, they graciously allow you to leave your luggage. I just called a few days in advance and asked! Check-in was easy. I showed my ID and a credit card (they placed a hold amount. Mine was $50; friends traveling with us had a $100 hold placed). I think the hold depends on the unit. The Lobby was beautiful and made you feel a little bougie! Quarter House throughout the week has some free food & drinks events! It was a Fat Thursday event- food was good!! Two different kinds of wine! After a particular time, they will allow 2nds! Very NOLA style! And a Sunday Morning breakfast- which was fruit and baked goods. Coffee, tea, and juices. There is also a Free Sunday morning guided walking tour! Sign up in advance; they limit the spots! There is a small pool in the courtyard! It was beautiful for a cool down and perfectly sized. Courtyard did allow Smoking. No smoking in any units. Unit 404! Very clean. The unit was spotless and updated with all modern appliances. The bathroom had a standup shower and felt new and updated. Enough towels were provided for a week's stay for two. Queen-size bed. (The mattress left much to be desired if you’re not used to a hard mattress.) The living room area had a pull-out queen-sized couch bed. The couch was comfortable for some Evening TV watching until dinner reservations were ready, and greatly appreciated after walking the French Quarter! The unit also had two very nice-sized smart TVs. The stove worked, and the unit had cookware and a coffee pot (but Quarter House is like a few steps away from the fantastic French Truck coffee... if making coffee in the room, go to French Truck, get a bag, and drink locally made coffee- enjoy the experience! (We did learn part of the building had a major fire a few years ago, so all that area is new and brought up to fire codes.) We have a Walmart+ account- so once we arrived, we placed an order for snack items, water, coffee creamers, and ordered some White Claws.. (save on that alcohol budget as NOLA allows drinking in the streets of the French Quarter (no glass bottles) etc. to be delivered.

I would never lay my head at or spend my money on this hotel if I knew what I was walking into. I can handle an old building and less than pleasant staff, but when I’ve spent my hard earned money on a room, I expect it to be clean. There were LOOSE GRAPES IN OUR FRIDGE WHEN WE FIRST GOT TO OUR ROOM. Hair all over the place, ON THE TOILET SEAT. Dead roaches on the bathroom floor. When I saw that I just had a feeling about the bed and checked it - first of all the bedding is disgusting and looks 1000 years old. Pulled back the comforter and whadaya know there is a live roach crawling on the sheet. Then I flipped the pillows over and there were white spots all over the pillowcase which I can only imagine were a stranger’s bodily fluids. And ASH ON THE PILLOW CASES. On top of that the baseboards look like they have never seen a duster. Like a tree had to die and be that dirty. Oh and when I told management at the front desk and even showed them pictures of everything I found - everything I would be embarrassed to have a customer find if I worked here - there was not so much as an apology. I was given an email to send the pictures to. If they suck this bad at cleaning I can only imagine cleaning their email box is not a regular practice either. They only asked if I wanted to switch rooms. I switched and my new room didn’t have any bugs visible to the naked eye, and I had already paid at that point and decided to make the most of a bad situation. The location is the only benefit of staying at this place and that is convenient because it prompts you to spend the majority of your stay OUTSIDE.

The rooms are nice, it's a lovely building, very historic. The location is great being right in the French Quarter. Everything is in walking distance. They will recommend attractions and book excursions for you. But be prepared you may be required to leave a cash deposit.

We stayed here, in the same unit in 2019, and I would have given it a 7 out of 5 then. You were greeted like family or an old friend. Now I'm not sure if it's because of the pandemic that things have changed. But it's just a different vibe. When we arrived, there were two ladies at the front desk one was just 'there', the other super friendly and helpful, along with a gentleman who I beliveve is the Porter. Even the other guests didn't seem as friendly. While I was getting checked in, the lobby got quite busy. There's not a lot of room between the entrance and front desk. After I had checked us in, I turned around to walk towards my friends and there was an elderly man walking in. I moved out of the way to let him pass and in doing so I bumped the bag slung over the shoulder of a woman. She huffed and gave me a dirty look, like how dare you, peasant. Can't win. Our room faces an alley (Exchange Pl) and is opposite a multi-level car park which I believe belongs to the Wyndham Hotel on Royal St. What a noisy nightmare. The a**hats that drive loud cars like to idle or rev their cars for minutes on end in the alleyway, not to mention one in particlar that blasts their bassy sound system in an otherwise beater of a car. So loud, I could hear it in the shower. So loud, the lamp nearest the window made a vibrating noise. There's also a lot of honking in the car park, maybe people going around corners, or locking their cars, hink-honk-honk.

We arrived on a Friday. On the first night 4 motorcycles went up and down the levels in the car park for I don't know how long. Later at 3:30 am in the morning, someone was shuttling large (garbage?) metal bins out from the car park, likely from the Wyndham for what seemed like 20 minutes. Hell of a racket. While I fully understand it's not Quarter House's fault about the noise, it's a shame they haven't addressed the situation on behalf of their guests. It's also a shame the outer wall of the car park isn't cemented in.

Overnight Sunday into Monday morning: -3:30 am a woman was shouting for close to 10 minutes, with a male voice not quite as loud 'talking' with her -5:30 am, a loud truck, front loader I'm guessing comes by to empty the bins, this goes on for awhile, then the staff move the bins around. I know where I live trucks aren't permitted to do that between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. I guess here in the French Quarter, anything goes

Monday night after 11:30 pm until at least 12:00 am, someone from the Wyndham was using a loud generator powered pressure washer to wash things off. Called over to the Wyndham to remind them what time of night it was, and was pretty much dismissed 'yeah it's a pressure washer' in other words too bad so sad. The sound of it was like an outboard motor running.

We were so looking forward to coming back and don't get me wrong we are enjoying ourselves. But it's just not the same, and it's so much noisier, I just can't believe how muc; which is why I gave a lower rating. I fully understand that in this section of New Orleans, especially being the French Quarter, there's going to be noise. But the level and frequency of this noise is ridiculous, We paid good money for this trip, not like we're staying here for free.

All said, I'll still be back again though, maybe just not here. I love New...

I stayed at the Quarterhouse Resort with 4 other girls for my bachelorette party and I did not regret one second of it. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who asked. The staff were always so friendly and helpful. The one con during our stay was that we had to change rooms for our 2nd night stay which meant we had to be out of our room by 10 am (which was a strict check out time and it was a difficult check out time to withhold if you're there for a bachelorette party and had a long night out the previous night). They were very accommodating though and moved all of our stuff to our new room assignment which was fantastic! The first night we stayed in the 1 bedroom suite which did provide enough room for all of us but did put us all in close quarters with each other (which wasn't a problem at all). Our second night though we had the 2 bedroom suite and it was wonderful having all of that space! With all of the extra space it was much more comfortable for the 5 of us compared to the one bedroom. This place is well worth the money and it's really a great deal if you have a larger party to split the cost with! The location of the hotel was perfect! It was a 5 minute walk (probably not even) to Bourbon Street (us girls easily stumbled back to our hotel without any problems at all) and a 20-25 minute walk to Frenchman Street (which was an accidental walk late at night due to us losing track of where we were but there were still groups of people walking the streets - very nice bachelor parties - so we still felt safe but aired on the cautious side and walked quickly). There were plenty of restaurants nearby this hotel as well but there is one place (Backhouse Bar & Grill) that doesn't even serve food to anyone under 21 which made no sense at all! I had one bridesmaid with me (my little sister) who is 19 who tried to get a burger from this place at 5 pm and they wouldn't let her even order some food. The girl at the bar was extremely rude and wouldn't even take our order for my sister even though we're over 21 and had proof. That was pretty silly. But back to the hotel. I felt very safe at the hotel (it's a maze itself and it took us forever to find our room the first day) but they keep the front door locked at night that requires card key for access. I really appreciated that! I wish we could have stayed longer and I will definitely stay here each and every time I come to visit NOLA which I hope is many - this city was amazing! The only true con is the very early check out time (10 am) and the very late check in time (4 pm). Not easy times to meet when you've been drinking all night but hey. It's worth it. Oh and it is very close to the streetcar which we met so many nice people on so there's no need to ever use a cabby/uber/whatever due to this source being available! Really everything is walking...

Disappointed with the experience my party and I had during our stay at the hotel on the night of June 12 . The level of service and the way the situation was handled by both on-site staff and management afterwards were unacceptable.||On June 12, before we left for dinner, we advised the front desk that our air conditioning wasn’t working and that the room had a noticeable smell of mold. We were told that someone would check on it and we would be informed of the outcome. ||When we returned after 9 PM, we were told we had to move rooms immediately, as a specialist was needed to repair the A/C. We received no assistance in packing and moving our belongings from a hot, uncomfortable room. Furthermore, we were relocated to another building for just one night—despite having to check out at 7 AM the following morning.||Upon arriving at the new room, we discovered a roach over an inch long in the kitchen area. We disposed of the bug ourselves and I immediately informed the front desk. I spoke to Lawrence, who was apologetic and acknowledged the issues with our previous room. He offered a bottle of wine, which I declined, and I informed him that we would not be paying for the final night of our stay. He said the matter would be documented for management review.||Unfortunately, I never heard back from management. On June 18, I followed up and spoke to a manager named Aura, who was apparently only told that there was a "smell" in our room—completely minimizing the actual situation. I had to retell the entire story and once again reiterated that I would not be paying for the final night. She said only the general manager could make that decision and promised a callback, which never came.||After another week passed, I called again on June 25. Aura stated she would speak to the GM. Later that day, she called back to tell me there would be no refund but offered two complimentary nights—excluding special events. I declined, as we do not plan to return to New Orleans.||I want to be clear: we were forced to move rooms late at night, without assistance, after the hotel failed to inform us of the situation earlier in the evening. The replacement room had a serious pest issue. We were inconvenienced, uncomfortable, and treated with disregard. To make matters worse, it took nearly two weeks and multiple follow-ups on my part to get a resolution—which amounted to a dismissive offer and no accountability.||The staff’s failure to address our concerns in real time, and the complete lack of timely, respectful follow-up from management, reflect extremely poor customer service. We paid in good faith expecting a clean, functional, and comfortable room. What we received was far from that. I have disputed our hotel charges with my credit card company and sharing this experience on public platforms to...
