This was one of the first places I went to after I moved from B.R. to NOLA around 3 weeks ago... Wanted to escape from the Party Gras crowds and this place was recommended by my friend who is from there. He said he used to go there before Katrina. I liked that it was a smallish yet not too small place with a grill that serves excellent beer and food late until closing at 2 am. Bartenders and staff were friendly enough. Music from Tech tunes playing random, mostly retro songs which you almost forgot you liked them but hardly ever hear any more. Seened mostly locals and or regulars of all ages and very chill.. doesn't hurt that they have a really cool shop next door. Have been too late to check it out both times I have been to Beachcorner Bar.. I plan to soon because I was originally looking for a vape shop when I found Beachcorner... I would recommend Beach corner if you're looking for a no frills place to eat late night before 2 a.m. Prices are reasonable for good quality food and great variety of imported beers on tap as well as decent wine!! Great Stoli lemon drops also... I usually don't drink much.. but was in the mood and I enjoyed myself.. That being said, it's been a few weeks since I was last there. I had an issue with a bartender, I'm not sure why, but she charged my credit card for a meal and drinks and then while I was outside she also charged my friend again !! I noticed that my card was charged and asked my friend and he specifically told her that he would pay cash and did. I called and spoke with the manager twice concerning this issue and she tried to convince me that it was standard practice when running a tab to be charge your credit card until they issue a credit to your bank even if you pay cash. It had been 3 days... I won't be returning back there because her attitude was very testy, as she knew her bartender had screwed up as she admitted that her bartender had called her about the matter the day...

The burgers are good enough. Huge.
Service is very slow during busy times. We were here on a Saturday afternoon. Every bar stool was occupied, as was every table. One person behind the bar. It took almost 30 minutes to get our food.
My biggest complaint, is what appears to be a little scam by the staff. We have come across this twice in recent consecutive visits.
The bill comes with a cash price, and a credit price. Both times, I paid in cash.
The first time, I was charged the credit price. I caught it, and asked the the bill be adjusted.
This latest time, they did it again. This time, the bartender was swamped.
I was willing to to tip fully. Even though the service was slow. She was very busy.
I caught the short, but couldn’t get her attention. Or maybe I was intentionally ignored because of the short change?
I had already calculated what amount I would take in change, to leave a 20% tip. I took the same change, resulting in a reduction of the server’s tip.
Shorting my change one time is a mistake. Shorting me twice in consecutive visits is a scam.
Management needs to address this.
We live in the neighborhood, and Witts Inn used to be our “local”. New ownership has had a negative impact on that bar.
We were seeking a new local. A bar where we could drop in regularly for a couple of drinks and some bar food.
But it’s hard to be comfortable, if you feel the staff is...
Read moreWent into the open courtyard to order beignets to go. I am a single parent alone in a dangerous city with my two kids. My kids had fruit smoothies in their hands. The guy working there stopped us halfway in to order and said we had to get rid of the smoothies to order here. My daughter being a good kid threw out the smoothie immediately feeling like she was in trouble. I told them don't throw it away. I paid $9 for a smoothie in this city. He said they couldn't stay so I had to have my 2 kids sit on the street about 100 ft away outside the courtyard if I wanted to order food to go. I let the guy know that that was unnecessary. We weren't dining in. Its not affecting their revenue as we are ordering what we want and were leaving. In a very sarcastic demeaning tone he said "Oh isn't that just terrible." This guy is entitled and I assume related to the owner by the way he acted. Very pompous. They give you a number so I waited on the streets. When my food was ready the girl couldn't see me. I had to go in and flag her down. She asked why I was waiting outside the courtyard. I told her what the guy said to us. She looked at us with sympathetic eyes and rolled her eyes and apologized that he did that to us. Completely unnecessary. He should not be involved in customer service. He should stick to cleaning the...
