The service here was TERRIBLE. I’m giving 2 stars literally for the food and drinks. We walked in and the place was pretty empty. But the lady told us that the 7 of us would be required to sit on a couch and mandatory order 3 hookahs. Even though we only came for food and drinks. It wasn’t until we pushed back and said that seems unfair considering most of our group has been there multiple times with large groups and never had that told to them. Then she “settled” on giving us a table and add a chair to that table. Then it took 45 minutes to get our food. Then the server just left us and never returned. Not even to bring refills or the check. We had to go up to her to tell her we were ready to cash out. The food was delicious. And the drinks were great and priced fair. But this experience was horrible.

The hookahs are really good I will say . My waitress (Layla) was very sweet so my issue is not with her but I asked for chicken cracklin which is suppose to be just friend skin .They gave me chicken chunks I know the difference . I informed my waiter who spoke to the manager who two days in a row I see just sit in the same spot does she work ? Anyway the waitress came back and said I can only get a discount . I said it's cool cause it ain't about the money it's the principle .Grab my phone and started writing this review . I even ask the table next to me who are locals is this cracklin and they said no I don't even do reviews but I had to .... anyway the vibe and the atmosphere is good tho food shakey.

Found this really cool place and decided to try just the food part of the establishment. The chicken schwarma was AMAZING OMG SOOOO flavorful. I do wish the rice had more flavoring because it was cooked right just no seasoning. The lamb chops were cooked soooo perfectly but same thing my husband and I wish there was sauce or seasoning that would have added to it. The salad and dressing were good. I tried the hummus dip and added chicken and OMG THATS NEXT LEVEL good right there. Maddie and Vanessa were so welcoming and extremely professional and pleasant. I did not visit the hookah side but it was lit 🔥 on a Thursday evening. WE WILL BE BACK

I didn't have a really good experience here.

My experience was similar to some of others. We only had drinks and a hookah. We asked for a premium long island and a rum punch. What we got was something that looked like a long island but tasted like straight up Minute Maid Lemonade on the rocks with a squirt of Coke - I mean no taste of alcohol at all. The rum punch tasted like literally that - some rum with store brand fruit punch poured in it. We had to track the waitress down to tell her about the drinks because I wasn't paying for a premium drink if I didn't get one, and she just ran off a list of what was supposed to be put in it. Then she said she would see what she could do about it. About 15-17 minutes later she came back, got the glass of watered down long island, and then came back another 10 minutes later with the drink and asked me to try it. It tasted more like a long island now so I was ok with it, and the waitress didn't really give us much attitude so this is the only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of one. However, it took about 30 minutes to rectify this and the waitress attended other tables (some more than once) during that time so it clearly didn't seem to be a priority for her to please disappointed customers, and they didn't even do anything about the rum punch. Oh, and the best part of this is that the technically don't have a "premium" long island - I was charged $9 for a long island plus $6 for the shots of Patron and whatever else they put in it to make it somewhat right. Meaning I ended up paying $15 for this watered down fiasco smh. Oh yeah - we were also charged 18% gratuity on top of this, for two people. Not sure what the norm is in New Orleans as I am from Atlanta, and I don't mind paying for good service, but I thought it was unfair in this case to be forced to pay a high gratuity after receiving such subpar service we received. Be sure to keep that in mind when you go here.

The other reviews echo this lackadaisical attitude among the waitresses so don't be surprised if you experience the same thing as ours did check on us a few times but the attitude kinda went dull after the drink situation. I saw mostly waters on the other tables so maybe people who frequent the establishment are aware of the poor drinks that Haifa serves. Therefore, if you're looking for good, strong drinks, DO NOT go here. I'm in my late 30's and this crowd is more of a college crowd (which can be expected for the area) so it's not quite a grown and sexy spot but the extremely casual atmosphere works if you just want a hookah.

The hookah was biting a little and wasn't the smoothest that I've had but the coal guy came by often and checked the coals so that was great. If you just want to sit back and chill with a hookah, then this place...

It was brought to my attention that the only way I can possibly get in touch with maybe the owner of the business or someone that can help me is by an email. So I decided to leave a yelp review and now a google review. Saturday March 16, 2019 a group of friends and I were in this establishment. Two tables were occupied. The table I happen to be at, was where the confusion started. The check for my table was asked for , but 2 waitress told us that both the tables bill was actually taken care of, and whenever we were ready to leave we were free to go. As we proceed to leave a manager by the name pronounced as “MY” from what the waiter told us his name was, happened to stop us and proceeded to tell us our bill was not payed for. But as we are trying to explain to him the situation, he wants to hear nothing and he becomes very rude. He had the attitude as if he didn’t want to be at the establishment or as if he was having a bad day, but as a manager as I am myself, customer service is everything. So we called the waiter and she apologizes and says again you guys bill is paid for I’m so sorry you can leave. The waiter tries to explain herself to the gentleman and he completely ignores her to the point you can see she was agitated. At this point of waiting trying to actually tell him our bill is actually wrong he wants to hear nothing. Two managers at this establishment didn’t want to hear anything we had to say. We actually had 3 items missing from the bill he said we had to pay for. 2 side orders of grilled shrimp ($7 a piece) and a order of fries wasn’t even on the bill ,so we were confused at to where it went and did somebody even pay for that. As a lady at the table tried to tell the other manager the situation no one wants to listen. A gentleman actually payed for the bill but the experience here, turned crazy. It’s crazy that a manager would...

Disappointing and Disrespectful Service:

I recently visited Haifa Cuisine & Hookah Bar and left utterly disappointed by the experience. From the moment I stepped in, the lack of acknowledgment or greeting from the staff made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer.

While the waitress was courteous, I was surprised to find they charged for water bottles, and the ambiance suffered due to wobbly tables and chipping paint on the benches.

My interactions with the staff managing the coals and tables were frustrating due to their difficulty understanding instructions, leading to a breakdown in communication.

The most distressing part of the night occurred when the owner and a staff member while tending to the hookah, displayed an utter lack of regard for customer service. The staff member even stepped on me, exhibiting aggressive and disrespectful behavior that bordered on physical intrusion.

Furthermore, the establishment's automatic gratuity charge and additional fees for water only added to the disappointment.

While the server displayed kindness, the overall service from the owner, manager, and the individual managing the coals was abhorrent.

I strongly advise caution when visiting Haifa Cuisine & Hookah Bar, especially if you value being treated with basic respect and decency...
