I'm rating this restaurant a 2 based on the cleanliness and newness of the food court and the friendly cashier.
The menu looked really good, so I decided to try it for a quick bite while passing through before heading over to the music venue. The cashier was very friendly and courteous. The wait time was extremely long. We didn't mind so much because we had some time before the show. The food, however, was meh at best. That's hard to do in a place like New Orleans. The fries and rice were okay, but the fish sandwich was flat and lackluster. It didn't look anything like the pictures. The red beans were bland and maybe had 2 pieces of sausage, and the cornbread was old and hard. Also, charging $5.99 for a basic bottle of water is insane! I will not eat at this restaurant again. The food has potential to be good, but much work is needed to get this food up to par (especially at the current price point). I don't know if it's location specific or just bad recipes overall, but there is much room for...
Read moreIf you are a true cajun, do not get this. This has to be tourist-catering food. It was disgusting. Ruined my damn birthday lol. I fasted all day, went here and got boudin balls and shrimp and grits. Both were so DISGUSTING. The boudin balls tasted like they got them from the frozen section in Walmart, the shrimp tasted like it was warmed up in the microwave, and the texture of the grits was even more disgusting. It also came with tomato base on top (which is creole, but was nasty as hell with shrimp and grits) .... just take that nastiness off the menu entirely. My husband did love his chicken sandwich, tho. But alas, I'm a cajun woman, and we cook swell down here. Lol anyways. Yes, I was very upset I wasted my calories. Moral of the story, get the basics at this hotel ... dont look for authentic good...
Read moreOn Saturday 1/30/2023. Atmosphere is great within Harrah's Casino. After much hype from me to my parents. We all were so disappointed. I watched and cheered for Nina on Top Chef. The food we received from Nina's Creole Cottage was from The Bottom Chef. After spending $81.53 including a $15.00 tip, my parents and I received horrible food. After waiting a total of 45 minutes. Lets start. The Chopped salad with Castfish was basically unseasoned /un-grilled catfish with alot of watery iceberg lettuce..two orders of Wings - skin overcooked inside undercooked.. crinkled fries and the sweet potato fries were the only enjoyable side. My hope for this spot is to stop, refresh and rethink the purpose of...
