Their online ordering system was easy to navigate, the food was quickly prepared, and both the udon noodle soup and the vegetarian rolls were quire tasty.

However, despite noting on every single item we ordered that we would like all the dishes prepared with a shellfish allergy in mind, the sweet potato rolls were fried in the same grease as shrimp and other shellfish. She noticed that they were tempura sweet potatoes when we opened her box, and called to verify that the restaurant had taken the allergy into consideration. Not only had they not, the person who answered the phone simply said, they "forgot" about it.

They did offer to exchange the sweet potato roll for something else, but given it was takeout that I walked a fair distance to pick up, there was no way for that to work.

If you have no dietary constraints, the food was good and the people friendly, but given that shellfish allergic reactions can be fatal, I'd recommend avoiding it if you have anything similar.

(Yes, ordering sushi with a shellfish allergy is... challenging. But we stick to vegetarian sushi / items that aren't regularly fried. The sweet potato rolls were not noted as being tempura on their...

This Christmas, we turned to Geisha Sushi Bistro in New Orleans for a comforting Japanese meal, and it didn't disappoint. Starting with the miso soup, it was the warm, familiar taste we expected, setting a comforting tone for the meal.

The grilled salmon salad, while slightly overcooked leading to a bit of dryness, was brightened by a delicious citrus ginger dressing. It was a refreshing part of our order.

The beef yaki udon, a flavorful stir-fried noodle dish, was a standout with its perfectly cooked noodles and savory beef. In contrast, the chicken udon soup was a heartening affair, featuring a savory broth filled with tender chicken, vegetables, and mushrooms - a real comfort food.

Our sushi choice, the Spring Love roll, was typical of Japanese fare but still enjoyable. Each element of our meal felt like a classic representation of Japanese cuisine.

Although the food didn’t particularly wow us, it was a solid, enjoyable experience. The biggest plus was finding Geisha Sushi Bistro open on Christmas Day, making our holiday meal convenient and comforting. Overall, it’s a well-deserved 4 stars for providing a reliable Japanese dining experience in...

Great food poor workes. Receptionist is extremely rude And talks how he wants to cause he’s hiding behind the phone. Called to place an order at 08:50 pm on Saturday and was told by him to do it only online even after telling him the site keeps crashing. After it finally worked gathered everything I need for the order (a big one at that) and placed it at 9:40 pm. Keep in mind the website in updated for the place to be CLOSED at 10:00PM. Got a call a couple of minutes later from the same person saying he’s CANCELING my order cause I took “to much time to do it” and they’re closed. when I asked why he didn’t tell me that when we talked earlier when it was to closing he just said “sorry can’t to nothing about it, canceling your order ma’am” and he asked what I’m trying to do by asking that cause there’s nothing to do in a mocking voice when I answered “maybe when someone calls in that time again try to tell him to prevent a misfortune of getting your whole ordered canceled like that he hung up on me mid sentence. Not eating there again...

I walked in and Ordered to go. They seemed pretty nice. I took the sushi to my room next door but it had underripe Mangos on my roll, which is what the girl suggested me to get bc it’s so good. So much for the sex and the city roll being the good roll. They gave me no ginger, which is rare, most sushi places give you these things. Not to mention the terrible crab puffs with hard crunchy bell peppers inside with a fishy flavor. I figured the spicy tuna roll would be easy but fishy and pretty lack luster. Then $2 for soy paper for each roll. Nothing like your first bite getting a fish scale stuck in your teeth. This was a terrible mistake. I would suggest going anywhere but here if you even decide to eat sushi in New Orleans, they have much better places around. Next time I won’t make the mistake to try this garbage.

Decent place to get sushi here in New Orleans. For a COVID update, to dine in, vaccine card or a negative COVID test within 72 hours is required. The restaurant staff are attentive and will check on you frequently. To order sushi, they give you a slip of paper and a pencil where you circle choices you want. The sushi itself is solid, nothing spectacular but above average for sure. My favorite roll was the sweet potato roll! This is a tempura fried sweet potato which is then wrapped in rice and seaweed. It was excellent! The regular rolls come in 6 pieces and range from $5-8. The fancier rolls are 8 pieces and range from $15-20.
