This review was long overdue. This was a great find for us. We were in New Orleans for a couple of days. Algiers point is a must see when you are in New Orleans, with its beautiful french style houses and quiet neighborhood. It's just so beautiful by the Mississippi river. And this breakfast cafe is the best there is to get some amazing breakfast. It's a really popular cafe, both with locals and tourists. It was almost occupied when we got there. We had bar stools by the window. They make some fresh beans espresso and other coffees. The fresh smell of coffee filled the cafe. We ordered some coffee, pancakes and the Poche, which was eggs and andouille sausage with sauce on grits and boy it was delicious. The andouille sausage was so good, I still have that taste on my mind. The grits was amazing, too. I had never been a fan of grits but they made me love that grits. The whole combination was so sumptuous. It was great. The pancakes were amazing, too. They were fluffy and tasted amazing. I enjoyed the breakfast so much I left my car keys behind and by the time I remembered my keys were missing, I was on the other side of the river and the place was already closed. Good thing about New Orleans is the public transportation is really good. I had parked my car at the hotel. I went back next morning and the owner had safely kept my keys. It was hot when I got there. She offered me chilled water. She was real nice. This place is a must go when you are in Algiers point. Can't recommend this place enough!!!!

One of the best little gems of New Orleans! Nestled in the cozy Algiers Point neighborhood and a true example of what the locals here love to share most, delicious food and the warmest hospitality! It doesn't matter who you are - when you walk through that door you instantly become part of the family! Whether you're first visit ever or your second time in that same morning, they make you feel special. I don't even know where to begin to describe the food! You may just have to check it out for yourself! The best grits in the city! The crawfish etouffee is what dreams are made of! Also, don't shy away from throwing one of their delicious pancakes onto your order. I add the Banana pancake to my order everytime I stop in. Crispy golden edges and warm fluffy middle! It's bananas! 😜 Truly the best spot for breakfast in NOLA, worth the trip from the other side of the river!

Delicious delicious delicious. There are certain places you simply visit for the food and the hospitality.....this place has both. We will be back. The sweetest group of individuals to walk this earth are found HERE....and then on top of all that their food is SO BOMB!!!! TRULY A HIDDEN GEM. I want to tell more people about this place but then again I want to keep this amazing establishment alllllll to myself lol. I love restaurants where you know for certain the chefs and cooks actually CARE about what they're serving their guests...this is exactly one of those places. Big portions, amazing hospitality, beautiful and quaint location, and incredible flavor in their food. I highly recommend....Your taste buds will thank ya.!!!!

Amazing amazing amazing!!! We need more businesses such as this great facility! Traveling back to Las Vegas from New Orleans my flight did not leave until later in the day. I had to check out of my Airbnb early, I was hungry and it was raining. I walked into this wonderful establishment looking for a cry place to have breakfast. Unfortunately I was only traveling with cards and had no cash. The lady up taking orders asking me what I would like. I explained to her my diploma of having no cash and if they accepted card. She denied they accept card but said I could just come back to pay. I explained I was leaving to go back home to Las Vegas later that evening. She then gave me the address to mail a check, but I don't have any because I never found a need for them. I thanked her for her time and trying to help out as I started to walk away. She said no you wait right there and don't move right before helping another customer. Confused I did exactly what she had asked. When she came back she said your breakfast is on me. Thanking her and appreciatinging the kind gesture she insisted on me ordering a full breakfast with eggs, toast, potatoes, fruit and a coffee. This was the most wonderful thing anyone could have ever done to make traveling easier. All she requested in return was to pay it forward for someone else in need. Not only was the service amazing and food was absolutely delicious but the line was out the door the whole time I was there. I watched her greet customers by name and doing whatever she could to make them feel welcome. I have nevertheless felt so comfortable and felt true southern hospitality. I recommend this great place 100%! You will not be...

Coffee and pastries are delicious, but the baristas were a bit rude during our visit yesterday. On our second visit we placed the same order, black coffee for me and a caramel frappuccino with soy. My wife is lactose intolerant and we asked for soy or almond substitute and they argued with me that the texture would not be right, I know that it is a different texture, but we specifically asked for the substitute of almond or soy knowing this and I made that clear to the server that we knew the difference and my wife was fine with it, as this is her order at every coffee shop we have visited across the nation from Washington State to Florida, and everywhere in between, and she knows soy makes the frappuccino texture different than if it were made with heavy cream, which she can't have. The second server came up and made a weird face when she read the order saying "Soy... ew" which aggravated me, we didn't ask for her opinion. We visited this coffee shop because it was around the corner from the place we were staying on our vacation and, we were delighted with the food and drink, but the staff left something to be desired. I visited a few times during our stay. The coffee and pastries were good, and even the frappuccino with soy was good. The attitudes of the servers was annoying to...
