Food was decent. I had the key west combo , with the side of garlic mashed, and steamed brocoli, which was very good. Together, my family ordered boom boom shrimp tacos with the side of the street corn(street co6rn was really good), crab and spinach dip(in which i will never order again from here), cheese pizza(that my son said was so bad but he was hungry and it was just edible), kids cheeseburger(my son enjoyed this),chicken sandwich Nashville(which was decent), bowl of clam chowder(delicious), large house salad( decent size for price), and a crab cake sandwich(below average). The food all together was mediocre at best. Price wise,i couldn't really complain, but the actual value was not there. Now my when it comes to the drinks!! We ordered the Florida sunset, which was ok, then I specifically asked for a drink i could get in the bucket, that did not have coconut, or banana. The server, Noah, recommended "pain killer." I told him ok, as long as he is certain it doesn't have coconut or banana. He brought me the drink and it had a milky look to it, so I asked my husband to try it first. He couldn't tell, but when I tried it, the flavor definitely tasted familiar but unwanted, but i couldn't put my finger on it. I asked Noah, again, if he was sure this drink did not have coconut or banana, and just to be sure,i asked him to ask the bar. Obviously he never asked because i had to walk up to the bar myself moments later, after he didn't come back. Now i understand being busy, but i would think if I'm saying i don't want the drink if it had either of those ingredients, it would be urgent to figure this out. So I found out the drink DOES have coconut in it and that's why my throat was having this warm itchy feeling. O did i forget to mention im allergic to coconut and bananas?? I mean I definitely said i didn't want it in my drink, so regardless of the reason, I didn't want it. So now the bartender/who i believed to be the manager, asked if I'd like her to make me a different drink, which i did. That one was better and we were clear that it didn't have coconut or banana. But I still didn't receive an apology from Noah. At first, I didn't want to get him in trouble so I was gonna wait until he came to our table, but i was so furious at how my apparent concern, was taken so nonchalantly. When he did say sorry, it was because he didn't know I was allergic. Smh like really? So I then expressed to Noah that if someone asks him to make sure any ingredient is not added, he needs to be certain and not just make assumptions, and then tell the customer as he is sure. After i said that, the bartender/ maybe manager jokingly said he tries to kill her all the time. I said well im definitely gonna need him not to kill me. My whole rest of my dining experience was messed up after that. I had the tingling in my ears and itchiness in my throat and chest until it finally went away after a while. I have obviously not been fatally allergic to anything, but I know when the feeling comes upon me, it just about feels like my throat starts to close up. So with that experience alone, I'd have to say, I'll never visit this restaurant again when we visit the beach. That would count as POOR customer service for me. Like im still feeling the sensation as...
Read moreMy husband and I were looking for a new place for us to try for lunch today and we chose Crabby's NSB because of the $1 Raw Oysters listed on the Daily Specials post for today
We got nine oysters (they have be in orders of three), and the crab & spinach artichoke dip for appetizers.
My husband got the haddock and shrimp meal and I got the grouper tacos. The haddock and shrimp were both beer battered and came with fries and coleslaw as the sides. A nice large haddock filet and four large shrimp for $19.99.
The three grouper tacos were lightly breaded and fried, but you can have it blackened or grilled. They had cabbage, red onions, and a tasty Baja sauce as well. I also had a choice for my side, and I chose the beans and rice. My meal was market value since the grouper is caught locally, and it was $22.99 today.
Since we had the appetizers we both had enough for leftovers, so that's a win!
Everything was fresh, delicious, served promptly. I'm taking my husband's word on the oysters - I don't like them; I'm a texture person đ.
There is a cute little ice cream shop inside and a nice rooftop dining area that was closed due the weather.
It looks like they have live music there on Saturdays as well!
We will definitely visit again to try different items on the menu and sit upstairs on the rooftop. I'm sure the view of the ocean is great because we had a nice view from our table...
Read moreWe decided to try this place from amazing reviews, seafood, and beautiful ocean view! First we walked in and went up to second flokr where the ocean was right there!! What an amazing view and it said on a sign please seat yourself, all the tables along the outside were taken so we took a table in more. What a mistake, because we litterly waited there 10min and got ignored by every server. They soon cleaned off the tables on outside and new people came in and sat there and even got served before us because they seamed to have a good server and sat at the right tables. I'm guessing we sat on a table that Noone one was serving so I went to ba to order us drinks and we decided to switch tables to get a different server. Needless to say if it wasn't for the delicious food and view we wouldn't have stayed because the service was horrible. Even at bar I got ignored, servers and bar tenders looked at use but said nothing to use for 10-15min. Finally got service and their boiler was so delicious! A lot of food, cooked perfect, flavored perfect!! So worth wait, and after we ordered it came out fast. Their drinks were very strong, I'm not sure if that was to make up for poor service but would have rather had a server say Hello, we will be right with you!! Then ignored by wait staff. Definitely tipped the chief...
