A Taste of Seafood — Restaurant in New York

My family and I have been supporting this place since they were on the corner of Madison and 125th street. I get potato salad every time. And except for my very first order when I got home and the potato salad was warm probably from being closed up with hot food I have asked for the salad on the side. This has never been an issue but today the guy says it can't be done. I ask if this is a new rule because I do it all the time. He says no they probably just accommodated me but I could buy the bigger dinner and then he would do it. Since he is at the register most times I order and has definitely done it in the past I took this to mean today he didn't feel like accommodating me unless I spent more money. No matter how much I buy (today it was just for me) everytime I enter this establishment my money spends the same and now that I've been informed I will not continue to support a place that will accommodate customers when they feel like it. Customers should always be accommodated because they are the ones that keep you in business. So I hope everyone that reads this and agrees does the same. While this location is 2 blocks from me and your food is good it's not that good thar people can't travel a little farther to get just as good seafood because I was coming to your establishment on 125th street when it wasn't as...

Food is good, no issue with that. Just something that ticked me off a bit. Last night I went and ordered close to a 100 dollars worth of food, when I get home we noticed the 6 pieces of cornbread was missing. My wife asked me to go back the next day for the corn bread. I go back today and speak to the guy at the register about my missing 6 pieces of cornbread. I described the girl who took my order and he was like, yeah she works here... he says sorry but you should've called last night about the 6 pieces of missing corn bread... fine!... ok can I have 6 pieces of cornbread please? He then says sorry, minimum card purchase is 10 dollars... really my G? You effed up my order and now I have to buy more than what I came for? That ticked me off to the point I won't eat there again... this better be great...

I have been buying from this rest for at least four years. Picked up an order yesterday and it is nothing like it used to be. They are using a new course, bland batter on the seafood. The fish and shrimps looked yellow and I did not see it until I was back in Queens. The food does not reheat well and it was bland and tasteless. Definitely, not the soul food I use to enjoy at this rest. I should have been suspicious when I did not recognize any of the regular staff I used to converse with. Will not be going back. Hopefully, the food is still good at their other location in Harlem. I spoke to the Manager to complain and he didn't even offer to try to rectify this matter. If you like good tasting fried fish, do NOT get it...
