Spacious and sleek coffee shop just a block away from Brooklyn Boulders, that fencing place, that weightlifting place, that skateboarding place, and the CrossFit center. They seem to source their beans directly and roast in-house. Lots of natural light, fast/free WiFi, power outlets, a gender-neutral bathroom, and quiet background music. The entrance is wheelchair accessible as well. The decor, in general, reminds me of Devoción (of Williamsburg), but the Gowanus, Australian version. Since I like Devoción a lot, I’m glad that this is close to my gym so that I can come often!

The service is very friendly and professional (they are not very busy yet so that’s kind of given. Keep it up!). If you are Instagram-crazy, this is good for that, too. I tried the Salted Honey Pie and it was excellent. For coffee I tried the Crema and Forza, both were well-balanced and full-bodied. Overall a wonderful addition to the area! I wish they open later in the afternoon as well, but that takes more customers to make it happen, which is why I’m writing this review. Abbotsford Road is awesome,...

Abbotsford Road has a nice, quiet atmosphere. You can sit with your laptop and not get blasted away by their music, although there is limited seating inside. They have a punch card rewards program - always a bonus. There are plenty of drink options. The pumpkin spice latte I had was great. But only feeling of "meh" was because the barista was pretty unfriendly and not very helpful (no, standard "hey, how are you - what can I get ya?"). I asked if they could do 2% milk and he just murmured "no." That's fine if they don't offer that type of milk but the over all gruff demeanor and response was not very customer service oriented. I was excited to try this place, but I can't say it's my new regular spot in the...

My friend Michelle and I learned so much and had the best time at the free latte art making class! James, our instructor was so funny and made the class so enjoyable. It’s free with a purchase of their bag of coffee. It was so much fun that I look forward to taking their other classes.

The owner and workers there are truly passionate and coffee EXPERTS! There’s so much art and detail that goes into making a latte. It’s not about the art but the quality of the coffee bean and love you put into making a proper cup. I recommend coming here for your daily coffee fix or take a class for an afternoon mid-week date activity!

You rock James, thanks for the...

One of the best cup of latte I had for a long time. It was beautifully crafted - a thick creamy foam top over the rich and strong espresso base. The place is a wonderful embodiment of a hip community coffee shop complete with their own roaster. There was lots of seating, a chill atmosphere, with WiFi and power sockets in abundance (there are a dozen along the brick wall). The staff are fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable about their coffee. To top it off, it offers a wonderful selection of food that heralds its Australian roots - yes that's meat pies, sausage rolls and phenomenal cakes. Not sure what else one can ask for really.

Awesome new coffee spot with a comfortable atmosphere. Loved the barista and her knowledge of all things coffee. Also enjoyed the warm reception from one of the owners. The front open glass entrance allows you to enjoy the sun no matter the weather. Highly recommend to locals and passerby’s. Of course, the coffee itself was delicious.

Awesome Australian coffee shop and roastery in Gowanus, right by Brooklyn Boulders. Friendly and helpful staff. I recommend the Vivo pour over if you want coffee, along with the variet of espresso drinks. Beans are for sale at v affordable prices. They have a selections of pastries and savories. Massive roaster in the back.
