Newly opened cafe in Red Hook. I ordered Matcha Latte that says $5.50 on the sign. And they charged me $7.15. That’s not cool. Their explanation was tax, ice drink is extra and alternate milk option is extra. They showed me ice matcha was $5.75 on the different menu. But there was no writing of another extra cost. It’s sneaky and against DCWP regulations. Jump to $5.50 to $7.15 is not acceptable. And unfortunately tasted just oat milk. No even tiny bit of matcha flavor at all. Service was slow and unsettle. I challenged them to get explanation of price, but their answer was just “yeah…..”. No apology or any nice explanation.

If you're not into coffee, the Calamansi...
