Allerton Diner — Restaurant in New York

The waiter was really good. The cook however sucked. My son ordered a sirloin steak with broccoli and a baked potato. I ordered a triple Decker sandwich with turkey and bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. The waiter brought over our food and the food was cold. I asked for butter for my son's baked potato and broccoli. When I placed the butter on potatoes and broccoli, the butter did not melt. That alone tells you how cold the food was. I had French fries with my sandwich. My fries were cold. I asked waiter to please make it hot, showed him the butter is not melted. My fries were cold. I watched the cook take his time to put in microwave. Ok, my sons food, microwave was fine. But my whole plate with sandwich? I don't think so. I get my plate returned to me. Now my lettece and tomatoes was soggy from the microwave. The Mayo tasted nasty. I just basically picked at the fries. My son seemed to enjoy his meal. I get check for $32.00. I felt so angry, not worth the $32.00. But, still paid and promised I will never return to the nasty restaurant again. 3 stars is...

After waiting for the food for an hour and a half, our order was incomplete, but the restaurant charged us for an order that we did not receive. When we called the restaurant, I asked for price of the order we received to confirm pricing inconsistency. Once confirmed, I told them our order was incomplete, but we paid delivery guy for the FULL price of the original order and asked if they could please send the missing item we paid for or send back the money we were charged for the missing item. She said all they could do for us was give us a “credit for next time.” I told her there wouldn’t be a next time since this isn’t the first time they screw up our order and that we needed either the food or money back today. She refused to help over the phone and we were forced to go in person to handle the situation. Food we did receive was cold. Horrible service. Will never go again. Find another diner. Ordered delivery from just a few blocks away. It took very long for the food to arrive. I ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken had zero taste the waffle had zero flavor. The ketchup packets, maple syrup and butter packets gave the dish ANY flavor at all. I also ordered buffalo chicken. The wings had zero flavor. The blue cheese dressing is, once again, what added any flavor at all. Lastly I ordered a slice of chocolate cake. Hear me and hear me well.........THE OUTSIDE SURFACE OF THE SLICE WHERE THE KNIFE CUT SMELLED AND TASTED STRONGLY OF CHEMICALS, more specifically nail polish remover. Expensive, not worth the wait.
