Paradise Motor Inn — Hotel in New York

Best bang for your buck...literally...$45 for 4 hours until 4pm... If you plan on staying overnight Check-In is at 9pm. The overnight price was comprobable to other Hotels in the area however the shortened length of stay was off-putting enough for me to just opt for the 4/$45 deal. I would have paid full price if the check-in time was the typical 3PM or 4PM. If you want to extend your time passed the 4 hours you must pay for 4 more hours. Keep in mind if you stay past 4PM you will be paying a much higher rate than the original $45. Again ... I would have without hesitation paid another $45 for 4 more hours however the sticker shock quelled my desire to extend. The accommodations were beyond exceptional and have been exceptional the few other times I stayed as well. One would expect an "Hourly Motel" in the Bronx, New York at such a cheap rate to be ... well... Sketchy to be honest. This is not the case here. Management clearly is doing something right for the whole experience start to end was pleasant, comfortable, and welcoming. From the first interaction with the clerk at the front desk to the last interaction ... I never felt judged, rushed, or less than. I was treated with respect as any paying customer of any service or establishment should be. Going to a place like Paradise comes with its own stigma usually perpetuated by a nasty or mean front desk clerk who clearly hates their job and the people who come to rent their accommodation. Again, not at Paradise. One final shout-out. To the housekeeping staff who must see some pretty horrific things day in and day out .. Awesom job! Whatever horrific things they encounter is never the concern of the next guest occupying the room. You turn those rooms over and create an inviting, comfortable, and super clean space...

Be aware of the hours you are paying for. I’ve been a customer here for over a year and haven’t had a problem until 2 nights ago. Got a room at 3:30pm for 4 hours (7:30pm) decided to pay for another 4 hours meaning check out time is 11:30pm. I got a call at 10:10pm telling me check out time is in 20 min. I looked at the time and thought they made a mistake because I have an hour left so I went back to sleep. Got a call again at 10:40 pm with someone yelling on the phone saying are you playing with me? And while I was telling him I have an hour left he hangs up the phone on me. Since I was sleeping I didn’t realize they shut off the electricity in my room. I strongly suggest to the owner to better train your employees and be aware that they are cheating your customers out of their hours paid. Definitely will not patronize this...
