After a long day, we decided to stay in and order way too much food. Things kicked off with the appetizers: beef carpaccio that disappeared in seconds, crispy calamari that didn’t even need sauce, blackened tuna salad that had a nice little zing, and broccoli rabe that made me feel slightly healthy. Then came the parade of entrées. The linguine with clams and linguine with crabs were both solid choices. The octopus baci was surprisingly tender, the mac and cheese was rich and comforting, and the New York strip was cooked just right. And then there was the Angry Lobster. Let’s just say it was angry for a reason—full of sand and not exactly a crowd favorite. Dessert saved the day. The vanilla crème brûlée had that perfect crack on top and was creamy enough to make you forget all about the lobster drama. Overall, great meal. Would I order again? Absolutely. But next time, I’m ghosting the lobster.

Baci is a really nice establishment. The waiters are friendly, the food is good, and it has a nice rooftop seating area. More specifically: - I ordered mushroom risotto from the specials and it was delicious, albeit very expensive, but it’s my fault that I didn’t ask for the price. The portion was hefty though so I took leftovers home to have the next day. - My husband got the stuffed gnocchi and they were also really good, the truffle definitely stood out. - The Baci Martini (raspberry) was amazing, I’d definitely recommend it. The only thing that we didn’t like was the fact that it was very loud. They play dance music and it feels like you’re at a club instead of a restaurant. We had to basically shout to one another. But overall, it’s a nice place. I think we’ll be returning!

We recently had a small event for five people at this Italian restaurant and booked ahead. The service was smooth and the ambiance pleasant, making it a nice setting for our gathering. We started with oysters, but unfortunately they were disappointing—lacking flavor and freshness, especially considering the high price. However, the rest of the seafood more than made up for it. The branzino was excellent—fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. We also really enjoyed the octopus and clams, both of which were cooked beautifully and made for a great choice. Overall, while not everything hit the mark, the quality of most of the food and the overall experience were quite good. Would consider coming back, just skipping the oysters next time.

I had dinner reservations at 8pm. We were served our food at 11pm. That should say enough, but I’ll elaborate.

When we were first seated, the music was blaring to the point where you couldn’t hear anything that the person sitting right next to you was saying. The music was louder than any club I’ve been to. I asked the waiter if there was any chance the music could be lowered, and he shook his head no and complained that it even made it hard to do his job. Very surprised people are being served the correct order with how loud this music is. Honestly, no exaggeration- it’s LOUD.

It’s 11:35 pm as I’m sitting at the restaurant writing this review btw. Again, we sat down at 8pm. The waiter was great, attentive, apologetic. He shouldn’t be apologetic for the lack of management. As a business owner myself, I understand how hard it’s been during Covid. But never have I purposefully understaffed myself to the point where the customer has to suffer so that I could make a profit. By the time my food came, my appetite had left after waiting 3 hours to eat.

Lastly, we just tried to order shots while eating our dessert. We were denied the shots, then 10 minutes later witnessed the table next to us receive a bottle of alcohol.

The last time I was here was when they first opened, and we received the same service. Figured it was because they has just opened and were not used to this. However it’s not the case- it’s clearly due to horrible, poor management that don’t care who they screw, as long as the money is in their pockets.

Finally, after thinking we gave the proper tip, we were chased out after not giving an “appropriate” tip. I let the waiter know that we thought we had done the math correctly to give him a fair tip, however he should speak to his manager to take money off to tip him, after what a disappointment this dinner was. Again, no fault to the waiter- the manger/owners of this establishment should be ashamed of themselves. They walk around wearing 40k Rolexes, grinning knowing how they’re screwing the customers around them.

I’ll never come back, and I’ll let everyone know what a scam this place is. Disgusting & greedy is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to describing the ownership of this place. At least it makes them...

We came to Baci to celebrate my birthday on November 12, 2022 at 7pm. We arrived in a limo 20 mins. before our 7pm reservation. We asked to be seated but the hostess said she’d seat us once our other 2 guests arrived. We ordered drinks at the bar. The martinis were terribly sweet. I’d skip them unless you want a headache with minimal alcohol. When the rest of our party arrived at 7 we asked to be seated. We were told by the hostess that our friend said she didn't mind waiting (which was a lie) then she took back that lie after we said that wasn't true and said her manager gave our table away. Over an hour later (after asking multiple times to be seated and even speaking to a dismissive manager), we finally got a table.

The waiter brought a small bread basket out. We ordered 2 bottles of white wine from their less than impressive wine selection. The waiter said he had only 1 bottle left of the wine we ordered. Then we ordered appetizers. If you like deep fried food, then this is your place. They seem to excel with that. Good quality food doesn’t need to be deep fried to taste good.

My main pasta course was very decadent but nothing impressive.

My friends ordered the dessert tower as part of my birthday celebration. The tower was dropped near me without any sparklers. After my friend flagged the waiter down he dropped 3 sparklers and left. The desserts lacked flavor. Once again, the fried one was the only good one (donut).

When our bill came it wasn't even itemized. We had to request an itemized bill. The white wine they ran out of was listed as "compd" on our bill, yet it was by no means free! We never received it.

We tried to share our experience with the owner. However, he seemed annoyed and roughly dragged his employee away by her arm that was trying to hear about our night. It was quite shocking and upsetting to see the owner grab an employee like that!

The restaurant is extremely loud with mediocre food and disorganized/rude staff. For a bill around $800, this is definitely not a way to spend a night. Trattoria Romana was a huge loss for Staten Island and Baci was a negative newer addition. Spend your...

My best friend came in from Pennsylvania with her Husband and newborn to meet my boyfriend and I for lunch. I work close by and decided to bring them here to Baci’s. We ordered a couple of appetizers including the fried artichoke with 4 cheeses. They came and there was no cheese to be found. They were just fried artichoke hearts on a bed of vodka sauce. I didn’t say anything at the time. For my main course I ordered veal parmigiana. I asked if it came with pasta or a vegetable and was told it came with veggies. I was so excited. I haven’t had veal since my Grandfather would make it when I was growing up. I was talking about how much I was looking forward to the veal the entire time we were at the table. When the food came out, 45 mins later, I was brought chicken parm. I told the waiter I ordered veal parm. He said he heard chicken parm. Oh, and there were no veggies on the plate either. So, needless so say, I was extremely disappointed. He asked if I’d like him to tell the cook to make me veal parm. While I appreciated the offer, there were only 3 tables at the time we ordered. Why did it take nearly an hour after our appetizers to get our food? No, thanks. I wasn’t going to hold up everyone after they finished eating to watch me eat. I asked to speak to the owner/manager. 15 mins later a gentleman walked over, who I’m assuming is the owner/manager. He didn’t seem too concerned about the fact that I didn’t get what I ordered, but more concerned that the artichokes didn’t have cheese. I had planned on staying for dessert originally but at this point I just wanted to leave. When I got the bill, the artichokes were taken off the bill. That was nice. What would have been nicer was if you made the veal parm for my to take home. Not leave me eating string beans and crunchy broccoli, and still having to pay for the chicken parm I didn’t touch. Needless to say my much anticipated trip to Baci’s was very disappointing and I will...
