Inconsistent food quality sabotages a kind staff more than once. Having eaten Thai hundreds of times at dozens of places, I am well aware of the standard dishes. Unfortunately there is a huge swing in quality here, as if there are two chefs and one is not up to snuff. Noodle dishes will be 1.5 lbs of noodles, a modest amount of protein, and like 1 oz of two kinds of vegetables. Thai food should be healthy, full of vegetables, and with a fresh and fragrant sauce. A tiny investment in interesting ingredients like Thai eggplant, Sichuan peppercorn, a few slices of birds-eye chili... That's what makes a place like Sky Ice (Park Slope) good. Given the standard dishes and Thai government support for establishments in USA, there is no excuse to serve middling to poor dishes half of the time. Prices are not...

I was referred to coco Thai by a client of mine and it was the absolute best place he could’ve ever suggested, the staff are incredible. One of my biggest pet peeves about restaurants is how long you have to wait for your food especially when you’re hungry and I have to say at Bangkok boulevard our food came out incredibly fast I was impressed. I had the crab fried rice and my date had pad thai and we both loved our food. For desert we had the donut filled with vanilla ice cream , crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside (just how I like it). To B and the team at Bangkok Thai (I forgot my waitresses name but she was phenomenal), amazing work you’re doing. I can’t wait to be back...

It was our first time here. We started off with their curry puff and got lunch specials for the entrees. We tried chicken pad kee mao and red curry which was served with a complimentary side of emerald dumplings (there’s a choice of 4 sides to choose from). Their curry puff was the best one I had in a while, very flaky and full of flavor. The noodles and red curry were pretty delicious and wholesome. I missed having green beans in the entrees. We got Thai spicy and it was pretty manageable. The side of emerald dumplings was delectable with a tangy soy sauce drizzled on top which added to the flavor.
