Elora you have forever lost a customer....over 15 years of patronizing this establishment and suffering through the new owners changes to make it worse, well today is the day I stop giving my business to you. The level of customer service has continued to go down. The okay we are doing you a favor is beyond what i can take at this point. The food is okay but the drinks are what I enjoy the most. So as usual, I order a pitcher of margarita (watermelon not sweet- yes I want the manager to know who I am) my usually order. My and the person in with drinks come out looking like melted iced water. I mentioned to the waiter “what’s with the drinks they look like soup” he responds “oh the machine must be hot” I’m like huh? So since i try to be an easy going customer, I stay with the drink. Well before I could finish my first glass, the pitcher looks and taste like warm rose colored water. i mention to the waiter that the drink is warm and can it be taken back to refreshen or give me the drink i actually asked for, “a pitcher of frozen watermelon margarita not too sweet”. He then goes off to what it appear like speak to the person behind the bar, then goes outside, and comes back and says nothing ...nothing until I call him over and inquire again about the drink. After calling him over and having an aimlessly conversation about the quality of the drink, the waiter saying there’s nothing he can do, so I request to speak to the manager. The manager, who’s been watching the entire exchange because he’s the person behind the bar, comes over and no acts completely obtuse to all that is happening. After I explained that the drink was soupy when it first arrived and that in all my years of coming i have never had a drink come lukewarm and that I’m not asking for anymore than I am I’m paying for and that is a FROZEN drink bc this was soupy and melted when I got it, he tells me oh you should have sent it back then. I sated the exchange between the waiter and I initially and the waiter response and the manager says oh well you did tell him to take it back. (REALLY!!! Are you kidding me you are making the drinks you knew this drink was unacceptable when you served it, I mentioned it to the waiter but because i didn’t say take it back - you do see the need to fix this.) so in my pleasant voice I again request a fresh drink. The manager then says using far too many hand gestures, ok but if the the next one melts your not getting another because we already taking a lost. At that point, I determined and thought - “I will keep your subpar drink do me no favors because after this you will take the loss and never get my business again” I graciously said you know what let me keep this LAST drink, thank you I’m fine. Since I was with a friend who was hungry, I ordered the least expensive items on the menu keep the warm drink and officially cut my tides with this establishment. After 15 years of weekly to monthly visits, end of year parties, athletic celebrations, celebrating as staff move on from busboys to waiters, gave birth and even morn with them when those a wonderful waiter in death.... For many years I enjoyed coming here and recommending it to friends but no more ...in the last few years year prices have gone up while the quality of food and customer service has gone down ...it unfortunate that your failure to show good customer service is the reason you’ve lost a customer...
Read moreI came here with the family on Saturday evening. I called ahead to notify the restaurant that we are a group of 9. I was told they would have my table set up for us, in which they did. When we arrived, they had just put chips and salsa on the table. For drinks, I ordered a pitcher of the strawberry margarita, and for the non alcoholic drinks, we ordered shirley temples.
For appetizer, I went ahead and ordered my favorite the guacamole in molcajete. I ordered the boneless chicken chunks as an appetizer. The guacamole is always on point. It's always delicious. The chicken chunks were completely gone within seconds. Everyone went in on those and raved how good they were.
Moving on to our main entrees. We ordered breaded chicken cutlet, steak with onions, churrasco skirt steak, la paella marinera, La Placita, Chicken Fajitas, Shrimp in garlic sauce, shrimp in spicy devil sauce and a side order of tostones. For dessert, we ordered the vanilla flan and the fried ice cream.
All the dishes that were ordered that night were delicious. Everyone loved their meals. The margarita was so good. Seems that their margarita pitchers are a hit. Everyone at the restaurant mainly had a margarita pitcher. Super great vibes in this place from staff to customers. Everyone in my group was enjoying their time, and so were all the customers dining in around us. I absolutely love how family-friendly this restaurant is. Overall, our night was amazing, full of laughs, great food, and conversations.
FYI, the margaritas creep on you. I highly recommend you try this restaurant out! Can't wait to go back with the family. Thank you, Elora's, for the...
Read moreSo this was my first time here. The service was great the people working there are very nice. Whoever is in charge though could have been more accommodating considering it was our first time here. We went there during happy hour by coincidence and they told us about the deal for half a pitcher that serves about 4 drinks for $12 and a full pitcher for $32. We didn’t hear him clearly; we had thought the pitcher was $32 overall and my husband didn’t want to drink that much so we just ordered 2 drinks at $5 each. When we did the math in my head before I started drinking I made my husband ask about the deal again and it was the half pitcher for $12 so I asked if we could have a half of the half pitcher extra making it a 4 drink serving since we had already ordered 2 single drinks and our waiter tried but they said no and the drinks were good so that was a loss for us over a simple misunderstanding. Then we ordered the chicken quesadillas that had the chicken shredded and it was great. It wasn’t the same as cubed chicken which tastes better to me. Then my husband order the chicken shrimp steak and pineapple entree and it came with rice and refríed beans I tried some of his food and it didn’t have much seasoning to taste and I could not for the life of me find a piece of pineapple or even taste it. The rice was old and the food overall was subpar. Btw I am Hispanic and for that being a “Mexican “ restaurant it was lacking a lot of taste. The drinks were good though !! Just listen to the deals well or make them repeat it so you don’t make the...
