We put in an order through Doordash for a last minute birthday cake and called a couple hours later to add writing on the cake because we forget; the staff that answered was friendly, helpful, and able to accommodate our request with no issue. When our cake was delivered, the writing was PERFECT and the cake itself was delicious. We had gotten the Brooklyn Blackout, which was a chocolate cake with frosting. Once we ate it, we were very surprised because chocolate cakes are often rich and heavy, but this was not the case with the Brooklyn Blackout! It was an instant hit and we were all raving about how flavorful and light the cake was. For a small cake that costs $30, I personally felt like it was well worth the price because the cake itself was so beautifully decorated and tasted even better than it looked. I would highly recommend this bakery for their cakes! I imagine all of their other flavors are delicious as well, and that they can handle custom orders if you give them enough of a heads up. I spent almost $50 on delivery for cake slices/cupcake as I was considering this bakery for wedding and wanted to try samples. I ordered: red velvet slice (2), birthday cake slice, vanilla cupcake. Cake arrived fine for delivery and the order was all there. Presentation was pretty (which is why I updated the star rating). I thought the cakes were dry and I was not fond of the taste. The icing seemed tasteless/bland and the cake itself was dry. I reviewed past reviews and noticed one mentioning the cake crumbling and being dry. The response to that review mentioned that their cakes are made fresh daily and they don’t sell day old items. Assuming that’s still the case, perhaps my items had been sitting out for longer in the day, I am not sure. My cake did not crumble but it was not fresh and moist as I would hope. Smh you know what’s funny I read the reviews before I went here. And the people in the reviews are just nice. Because the cakes look unprofessional but I said it’s the closet thing to me and the other bakery that’s was doing the grand cake for me could have only do one cake at time so I had to find a second place min . I got a cake from here that looked like my 2 yr old bake it as a project. I’m not saying to be the best but for the price of of almost 200 you would think the cake would look great or at least presentable smh it looked so cheap we threw it away 2 hrs after bringing it home to the place and got cupcakes last min for my 2yr party as a second cake alternative. I was so disappointed everyone was. And we was also told it only has 1 hr out the fridge before melting and DYE why use DYE for kids smh horrible place...
