Bijou BK: A Must-Visit Gem in Brooklyn
Bijou BK blew my expectations out of the water. From the moment you enter, you're greeted by a welcoming atmosphere with a lively bar and great music, thanks to talented DJs or a perfect playlist.
The service was excellent. We quickly received our menus and placed our drink orders, choosing the Coconut Crush, Berry Bliss, and two variations of the Lychee Me (passionfruit and strawberry). Each drink was delicious and well-balanced.
For appetizers, we enjoyed the perfectly cooked and seasoned Calamari with Marinara and Chipotle Mayo. Our entrees included Savory Shrimp, Steak Bites, Beef Fried Rice, and Grilled Salmon, all but the fried rice paired with divine mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. We finished with some amazing pancakes, ending the meal on a high note.
Parking was convenient, and the restrooms were spotless, featuring a photo wall to capture memories. As a black woman-owned restaurant, Bijou BK offers the perfect setting for date nights, happy hours, or special evenings with loved ones.
We can't wait to return to Bijou BK. This restaurant is not just a place to eat but a destination that celebrates food, music,...

Lately lychee martinis have become my go to drink and this spot makes one of the best I’ve ever had! Initially I went for a cute solo date for dinner and enjoyed everything! The honey glazed sauce on the salmon 🤤 I loved that the mac & cheese noodles weren’t too soft, al dente like and cheeeeesy! I love leaving restaurants with togo bags! The food was even better for lunch the next day! Then I went back with a friend for brunch, everything was amazing and cooked to perfection! The french toast and chicken & waffle sandwich were the stars of the meal. The omelette was good and paired well with the salad. And the home fries had a little crisp. Drinks are strong, but smooth. The owner is very helpful, friendly and personable. Ambiance is simple, but super cute! R&B playlist. They also offer hookah. I’ll...
Read moreI want to start off by saying this place is cute, cozy and the service is great. They have a 10$ happy hour for drinks which is always appreciated, however the food here is disgusting. I ordered the garlic mash potatoes and chicken piccata. My total came up to 39$. Gratuity was automatically added for a takeout order which I thought was strange. I only stopped in to order food and didn’t get a drink, however that’s something that I can overlook. I remember specifically asking details about the chicken piccata and I was told it was a simple seasoned chicken breast with oil and sauce. I was unaware that it came with noodles. I was open to what I received as long as the food was still good. I took a few bites of both items and could not finish it. The mash potatoes were instant and the chicken breast and noodles were terribley seasoned. I was really hoping to like the food here but I was highly disappointed. I wasted 40$ and couldn’t finish what I ordered. I suggest only going to this...
