A mini BJs. Half the size of other locations with half the selection. Besides not having entire categories of merchandise that other locations carry, like clothing, they have a limited selection of items in categories they do carry.. When the distribute a coupon book, half the items I would want to buy don't exist here. And, since they call themselves a warehouse store, the obvious comparison is Costco. Costco locations I've been to are four times as large as this store, with a multiple times larger selections at prices that seem to average 20% less. While Costco has an aisle of prepared salads, like bean salad, dips, like hummus, and other prepared food items, this store carries a tenth as many such items. Maybe they felt that since this area is lacking of shopping opportunities, and many that are here are inferior goods, like the cruddy Stop and Shop nearby, they can just put in a small, blatantly inferior location. Costco put a location on a small footprint in Brooklyn, but instead of putting in half a store, put in 2 floors with escalators for people and shopping carts. Also, Costco obviously values checkout efficiency, but here, that seems to not be a consideration when hiring cashiers, as it appears that no cashier experience, ability or aptitude is required (I have none, and think I would be the perfect candidate for a cashier job here). Costco charges $5 more for membership than BJS, but the value of their membership is almost immeasurably more than buying a membership to shop at this inferior location. Also, BJS customer service is unacceptable, as opposed to Costco's excellence in customer service. There was a Living Social offer for discounted memberships. As BJS advertised that this location would be opening in a couple of months, and they actually had a booth at a neighborhood street fair selling memberships, I bought the Living Social. When the location still wasn't open 3 months after the announced date, I contacted them asking if my membership could be suspended (or something) and restarted when the location opened, realizing that they might say no since I bought a special offer membership. To my surprise, I received a response that they would extend my membership when the location opened, and give me a full year. Very good customer service and demonstrating that this is a business I want to do business with. Unfortunately, it was a lie. As the opening date was moved further and further off, I contacted them again, forwarding the response I had received. I was told now that they would not honor what they offered, and I should travel to a location 2 buses and, probably an hour and a half of bus travel and waiting time away, to a far away location to use my membership. Finding their blatantly bad customer service unacceptable, and expecting them to fulfill what they promised (if they told me they would do nothing the first time instead of lying, that would have been the end of it), I contacted them many times, finding that there was no way to contact management, until they finally did what they promised the first time and extended my membership. Bad customer service replete with lies does not deserve your patronage. If a health club put in a location near you with the same membership fee as other locations, but with half the types of, and quantity of equipment, or was open half the hours, would you join? Would you subscribe to a magazine if the issues mailed to your area have half the pages as issues mailed everywhere else, for the same price? Maybe they think half the selection and shopping options for the same membership that people with good locations pay is good enough for us. It isn't, and thanks...

I ended up regaining a membership and trying the ground shopping. it went HORRIBLE because fed ex left my package in the lobby of the building where it was able to be stolen instead of delivered. I'm now going through the process of refund. if you use this service please stay up to date with the email notificationa and be available to check your lobby or front of building....if you are disabled have someone that can bring the packages to you. more than likely they will not deliver it up stairs directly to units.

Anyone Who is thinking to use BJ's via delivery using your snap benefits DO NOT DO IT.
Let me first say you will need to buy the membership in order to have same day delivery within 2 hours (which I did)
Even with that member ship the same day delivery will cost you 14.99 and that will become about $41 for possible substitutions. (which I paid)
Now we are at the infamous problem with society. BJ's is not responsible for the shipping. I don't know how they are paying the drivers but we are expected to pay basically $20 to the drivers which I neglected to do as I am low income and this was advertised to be an option for low income people.
I'm trying to do the best with my snap benefits for my family and I, with inflation it's just impossible locally in NYC to get enough groceries. So after scouring news articles etc I went to this option. There was no informing ANYWHERE that Snap users would have to pay for a membership or the delivery fees (Amazon Fresh does not make you pay for these things as snap users but Amazon Fresh is very expensive and once again most Snap users are trying to extend our benefits the best we can with inflation. To the hateful and spiteful....snap DOES NOT give you enough money to just buy luxury items and have food for an entire month living free. It's the least amount of money possible to live . you're believing propaganda LIES)
anyway...my family sacrificed and I paid for the membership and made a $200 snap order. I received no updates about the order as the delivery window was approaching but didn't think too much of it. Anyway a spiteful delivery driver chose not to deliver the order.
I have been given a refund but $200 my family desperately needs will not be returned for up to 30 days! and the cash will not be returned to my accounts for 7-10 business days.
I advise you NOT to use BJ's unless you can afford to use the shipping ONLY because FedEx etc fulfills those orders or you can go pick up your order from the store yourself.
This is not low income family friendly at all and you will take a huge loss when it comes to refunds. I hope this helps someone not end up the way this...
Read moreThis place is absolutely disorganized and the employees with managerial duties don’t do their jobs. If you’re going during busy hours, be prepare to make 2 lines (one of 20 minutes and the exit line of another 15-20 minutes). I went here on Saturday, February 9th to pick up an order I bought through the BJ’s app. I opted to go inside the store for pick up. However, I quickly learned that that was a mistake and next time, I will opt to deliver my order to my car. Why? Well, I waited about 20 minutes on the pick up line. As I was waiting there was long line on the cash registers and then another line to exit. You would think that they will have two lines. One for people with a lot of items that came in to the store and use their register. The second one for individuals that are ordering to pick up. Imagine being a delivery app person and having to spent hours waiting for one order of a $2-$5 tip? The people in this neighborhood are also rude. As I waited on a line I was speaking to the manager and this entitled Spanish big lady decided to skip me and go in front of me. I told the manager that I unfortunately don’t have the time to keep discussing the issue the congestion with the exit line and explained why I couldn’t wait? I said this lady just skipped me and the guy behind me is trying to do the same. That’s because there’s no order. As I said that, she turned around to justify why she skipped me. Her explanation was, “I saw you talking and figured you were not paying attention and I went in front”. Did I say entitled? Someone yelled and said we are going to exit anyways. She, lady that skipped me said “exactly” as I responded “because you’re justifying your wrong doings”. She threatened to get violent by saying “let’s talk” in Spanish. Manager did nothing and walked away. Anyways, I told her it doesn’t matter because she’s still adamant about skipping me anyways so who cares? The best part was that the law of the universe is so fair. She still ended up leaving behind me because she was struggling to hold her stuff to go up the stairs due to her weight and items. Go to this place when they...
