Blueline Fry plantain — Restaurant in New York

I come here after church and get these fried plantain sandwiches that are popular now ! The food was good but I need to change my review because it’s not worth it and there are 50 other places that make Haitian food and the people here need to learn customer service.

CHANGING MY REVIEW THE WORKER WHO LIED AND SAYS SHE THE “OWNER” AND THE “CHEF”BUT AT THE REGISTER TAKING ORDER HAS A NASTY ATTITUDE .IF YOU PAY FOR FOOD THEY EXPECT NO ONE TO USE THE RESTROOM.. I NEEDED to sanitize MY hands BEFORE AND AFTER I EAT. THE SIGN SAYS “NO PUBLIC RESTROOM.” My mother and I PAY TO EAT THERE IN HOUSE. THESE PEOPLE WILL NEVER SEE ME AGAIN ! I ASKED TO USE THE RESTROOM to wash my hands..they keep the bathroom locked like Fort Knox. im holding the door so my mother can wash her hands next and the woman in the photo is SCREAMING DISRESPECTFULLY AT ME TO CLOSE THE DOOR SO MY MOTHER WILL BE UNABLE TO USE IT. Citing she will be fired for letting my mother use the bathroom. If you the “OWNER” howww you gonna get fired! She’s a liar and disrespectful.

The man her behind who is also a worker 2 weeks ago was flirting with me and because I was nice to a customer the man was JEALOUS AND CARRY ON TERRIBLE. He said to me with an attitude I must come get my food and pick up after myself and bring the plate back and clean off the plate. I WAS EATING THERE. But the next girl HE SERVED HER THE FOOD AND CAME WHEN SHE WAS DONE TO PICK UP HER PLATE AND EMPTY IT OUT. 0 customer service and VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND ITS SUNDAY! I just left church to grab a snack before going home but they will NEVER...

What I love most and what would always stay with me, is the SERVICE. The staff was warm, welcoming and just pleasant. I can't explain it other than when I walked in, it felt like I was visiting my aunties/grandmas house. Like the people that flooded in while I was there, it was the Tiktok viral plantain sandwich that brought me there. I had the fish option....it was tasty but all the other ingredients outshine the fish that I was actually searching for it. My niece who's vegan, got the vegan version and I couldn't tell the difference. Maybe a thicker piece of fish is needed or a meaty fish like say catfish may be better in the sandwich. Its also more filling than it looks. As a person that grew up with Haitian friends, I have a thing for black rice so I had to try the black rice meal. The rice was full of flavor and it was accompanied by 2 pieces of chicken, beet salad, slaw salad, fried green plantain and a small bowl of gravy/sauce. As a person that loves gravy over rice, that little addition without me even asking for it took the meal over the top for me. I also had an order of fried fish filled and fries that I bought to go and that was good as well. Both the fish and fries were seasoned well.

This is not your typical dine in restaurant. There's a bar type setup that seats about 6/7 and there's also benches outside. So either plan for your meal to be a to-go option or go early enough to have a seat at the bar top seating. Traveling from queens, the meal was...

I just ordered here from Uber eats. I wanted to try their Mac and cheese but it wasn’t showing up on my app. I called and the gentleman on the phone was so kind and helpful. He logged in and assured me it was there. It turned out, I needed to update my app. That alone made a great impression and spoke volumes about their quality of service.

I ordered the 2 griot and 2 chicken plantain sandwiches, the Mac and cheese and the passion fruit juice. The gentleman I spoke with was so nice he hooked me up with some rice and beans and black rice for the inconvenience on the app which was much appreciated. Everything was SOO DELICIOUS and very affordable!!!

I especially loved the sandwiches……the meat was juicy, the avocado sauce added a nice blend of seasoning, the pikliz was flavorful and whatever that other sauce was…..AMAZING!!

The Mac and cheese was baked. It was crispy on top, nice and moist in the middle. It had the perfect amount of seasoning (not everyone seasons their Mac & cheese), a nice light creamy cheese that was SOOO YUMMY and not too oily like some others can be.

The passion fruit juice was also great. It had the perfect amount of sweetness, a tiny bit on the tart but still VERY good!! I just would’ve loved they added the traditional Haitian extract flavors such essence but again still very good.
