Where to begin writing a review on the happiest most magical day of our lives! My now husband and I found Bottino on a web-site and contacted Danny the owner via e-mail. We never step foot into the restaurant until about a month before our wedding. We fell in love with the place through pictures and our correspondences with Danny were nothing but pleasant and reassuring each and every time. As the date drew closer we went back and forth on a few things such as table arrangements and placement of cake and other items. We were e-mailing him everyday if not a few times a day at a one point and each and every response was timely, pleasant and always with a yes to our request. Meeting Danny in person to discuss menu and wines put us at ease even more with his welcoming and friendly demeanor. As we were sitting in the garden discussing the event I became a little teary eyed as I took in the surroundings and imagined all our family and friends in the space celebrating. So everything leading up to the day went smoothly to say the least. On the day of our wedding Andre and I walked in about 40 minutes into cocktail hour and we were both at a loss for words on how beautifully set up the restaurant was. Our cake was displayed in the perfect spot, our seating cards and favors were exactly where we wanted them, the tables and arrangements were perfect. Lauren the floor manager was a SUPER host and always had a smile on her face while getting things done on the fly. The staff was efficient and more importantly friendly! Now to the food and drinks.... AMAZING!!!!!! The menu that was offered with the choices for our guests to make selections from the night of was OUTSTANDING!!!! So many choices for an event like this is pretty unheard of to me when it comes to weddings. Here's the kicker...it's not just quantity it was QUALITY!!! Filet mignon melted in my mouth , the hor d'oeuvre's my guests said where plentiful and mouth watering and the shared appetizers family style were also plentiful and delicious! There was not one complaint other than people were full :) We cannot begin to thank Danny, Lauren and the staff at Bottino for a wedding reception of our dreams. I am getting teary eyed just writing this. Everything was perfect and they were all so gracious and hospitable. I only wish I had other events I could plan with Bottino. Seriously consider this beautiful restaurant and amazing staff for your next celebration be it a shower, family reunion, wedding etc. Truly a...

Custom printed menus and specialty cocktails (Bottino actually took the time to come up with the cocktails based on descriptions/interests we provided!), incredible service (including not being stingy with the open bar which unfortunately happens very often in other places), complete set-up and breakdown, accommodations for our special wishes (such as having two empty chairs at each table so that my husband and I could migrate from table to table throughout dinner and talk to everyone we invited), flexibility with last-minute changes (one guest had flight delays that prevented her from coming, and a couple had to leave early when their baby got a bit too overwhelmed), extensive time spent answering all our questions, and so much more. I just really can't thank them enough for everything!
We have booked Bottino as our wedding venue for the summer! Having tried their food, seen the space, and spoken to their events team, we feel so secure that we found a great spot. We did a lot of research on venues with outdoor spaces in NYC and Bottino beats them all! The space is gorgeous and the food is tasty, but all of it comes for a very reasonable price that is cheaper than everything else we found (that has an outdoor space). Also, for regular dining, the atmosphere is incredible. The garden has heaters, fans, and a retractable anti-rain covering, so you can enjoy the garden no matter what time of the year you go. If you like sweet cocktails, I strongly recommend...
Read moreBottino! What can I really say about this place. Well let's start with the decor. It's so quaint and welcoming, the walls are painted in a perfect shade of ivory and the chairs match it so well. You are then led to the back if you choose to be seated in the garden, which is surreal. It is a large area in the back, with perfect scenery, trees and great outdoor lighting for your dinner.
On to the staff. They are so welcoming, attentive and extremely polite. They always came to bring us more water, talked us up, asked us where we got our clothes and just seemed genuinely interested in us outside of just serving us food and going away. It was not just one either, it was a slew of them and even as other patrons started pouring in, the staff was still around and never more than an arm's reach away...just enough for when you need them and not overbearing. There is also a corner outdoor space that I believe is reserved for group seating and it looks perfect for a celebration dinner, like a birthday or graduation.
The food! When I tell you that the menu is exquisite, quote me on it! The prices are amazing for NYC and they give you a healthy serving for everything. We had the fettuccine with lobster and shrimp and it was only $22, which is unheard of for a New York restaurant. It was filled with lobster, tasted amazing and I can't wait to go back and have it again. The bread they gave us at the beginning was awesome as well. They are also accommodating so do not hesitate to let them know about your dietary restrictions.
They've gained a lifelong fan and I cannot...
