This place is deceptive. Considering the location you would expect to encounter great food. Unfortunately, this is not the case. I went in with my boyfriend hoping for a quick pizza. Sarah, our waitress was very kind and took our order quickly. We ordered Bruschetta to start and a small “special” pizza to share. What followed was a series of unfortunate events. The Bruschetta took a good 20 minutes to come. The bread was as hard as a rock, (almost painful to eat) something like the consistency of croutons, and the tomatoes were covered in balsamic vinegar. Basically what I would expect from a place like the Olive Garden. At this point we just ate and didn’t say anything. What came after was the shocker. Our SMALL pizza took at least another 30 mins to arrive. When it did arrive it was not really what I would call a pizza and looked more like something I would find at a movie theater. It was a pizza with no tomato sauce covered in mozzarella cheese with two round slices of semi dry tomatoes thrown on. They added some basil that was partially under the tomato and what remained exposed was charred and then completely covered in oil. I’m baffled as to why this is the “special” pizza and fear asking what the rest look like. When I told our waitress Sarah she offered to have them remake the pizza and we opted to just pay and leave. We couldn’t stomached the idea of eating it. When the other waitress saw that we had an issue with the pizza she proceeded to come defend it, with an argumentative attitude claiming that she’s worked there for 6 years and that’s the way the pizza is. Rather than trying to defuse the situation she opted to throw fire on it. I couldn’t comprehend how she continued to defend this disgusting pizza. A blind person could see that it wasn’t even suitable for a dog. When I defended my thoughts on the pizza she then attacked me saying that I was mean. She then proceeded to go behind the bar and say things about me under her breath. How this place is still open is mind blowing.

Read moreExcellent food and great service. I'm so glad we came across this place, our family of six adults had probably one of our best meals during our four day weekend in the City.
We were looking for a late lunch after a walking tour of the area. Our first stop was Artichoke Basille's Pizza. They were very busy with only a few tables open. When we walked in and requested a table for six, the host said they could not accommodate a party of that size. Which was strange because a table for six was being cleared right in front of us and no one was in line behind us. Even when we offered to break into two groups of three and sit at the couple of open tables outside the host still said he could not seat us. Not really sure what the deal was with the host.
I'm so glad Artichoke was too busy to serve us. This gave us the opportunity to walk up the street and find this great restaurant. At Don Giovanni's we were welcomed by the staff and walked right in and sat down. We ordered three different small pizzas, a couple of salads, and pasta dishes. We ate family style sharing all of the different and tasty dishes. The atmosphere of Don Giovanni's was so relaxed and refreshing. As we were wrapping up our lunch the restaurant was empty and the kitchen staff was starting to eat their lunch at the tables behind us. They were friendly and we had a nice conversation with them about the restaurant's menu and the off menu dishes they were eating.
The next time we are in the City we definitely will eat at Don Giovanni's again. The pizza was excellent, the pasta great, the watermelon-feta-arugula salad was excellent, and the...

I had the privilege of trying their Pomodori pizza and it was simply delightful. The thin and crispy crust was perfectly seasoned, and the fresh mozzarella cheese, juicy tomatoes, and fragrant basil combined to create a taste explosion in my mouth. Their pasta dishes are also a standout, with the rich, flavorful sauces and perfectly cooked noodles. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, and it was simply amazing. The creamy sauce was the perfect balance of garlic and parmesan. The portions are large, making sure that you leave feeling full and satisfied. The restaurant also has a great selection of drinks, from soda to wine, to round out your meal. Whether you're in the mood for pizza, pasta, or both, Don Giovanni is the perfect place to indulge.
